IDC followed Divide. Any song he released after Divide was bound to smash.

then why none of the singles of his collaboration albums cracked the top 10? IDC peaked at 2 and it's a horrible song in my opinion.

Yass i hope he flops into oblivion so we can get rid of him once and for all. Didnt he book a stadium tour, I wonder how that will sell lmao

Ed  only sent three singles in total to Pop Radio and those were the official singles (at least according to ATRL). Beautiful People peaked at #12 on the Hot 100, close to the top 10 and South of the Border has been sent to the radio less than a month ago so still too early to tell.

I’m more surprised by the fact that some of you thought this was going to do numbers lmao, this was expected given how mediocre and generic the song is after the smashes he served with Purpose

Oh wow. Didn't his Dan + Shay collab do similar numbers? I expected he'd do WAY better solo

All that play listing and all that hype for a debut of less than 6M? :ahh:

What hype? It was dead upon arrival

Beautiful people did well WW. It didnt peak high enough because it was released as a promo single and then later converted to a proper single. The consumption peak and radio peak were completely different.

IDC had the benefit of being the first song he released after the Divide + lead of his new project + Bieber collab. Even with the botched release, Beautiful people is closing in on 600m spotify streams.

I expected a much bigger debut because a comeback single from a supposed big artist should do numbers in its first. Then the quality of the song determines how it’ll play out. For example, ME! was bad but for 10.2M listens in its first day then dropped like a rock because it wasn’t well liked. But the interest for Taylor’s first single was there. Doesn’t seem like much interest for Justin’s new music is there.

Are you serious? He’s been posting about this damn song for weeks.

It was dead upon arrival because literally no one cares. But he and his team have been hyping up this song for weeks.

He had 7.3M listeners yesterday, that alone explains how people clicked play and refused to re-listen.

His team promoted prior to the release, as every good team should. But there was zero hype from the masses, and you could just tell. I don’t know about you, but you can literally feel the climate changing right now and who - what is not going to work.
