200 Ariana Grande - The Way (feat. Mac Miller) 2013

To start off my countdown, it feels right to post this wholesome, nostalgic debut single from one of my favorite artists this decade, Ariana. RIP Mac Miller :( :heart2: I remember hearing this in Spring 2013 and knowing she was special. I was obsessed from first listen. It's so bright, perfect for warm weather, and all around super feel good. Her growth since this song has been tremendous, but it's always good to go back and remember you've been great since the start.

199 Kesha - Blow 2010

Lots of Kesha's early music did not age super great, but it's nonetheless a heartwarming reminder of where pop was in 2010-2011, and that doesn't mean this song is bad by any means. In fact, it still goes off at high volume, and I was properly obsessed back in my high school days. This song is quintessential formulaic female pop at the time: prod by. ** ****, party lyrics, aggressive EDM beat, and lots of autotune. It's early Kesha to the core, and it's VERY upbeat, which I miss sometimes in modern music. I've learned to enjoy fun songs like this when they come.

198 Terror Jr - Sugar 2016

I remember all the secrecy about Terror Jr when they came out, especially people thinking it was Rise & Shine chanteuse, Kylie Jenner. While the band never seemed to fully utilize the hype, this song certainly got me excited. That production is bat **** heart-pounding & I absolutely love it. I also find that the autotune is utilized in a super creative and interesting way. Not much else to say on this one besides it's a BOP.

197 Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man 2012

Bruno is very hit or miss for me in terms of quality, especially when he gets overly womanizing, but this is one of his sweetest & most emotional moments. I consider it one of his more deserved #1s, quality-wise. He sounds incredible & the simplicity was a nice addition to the piano-ballad renaissance of early 2013 with this, Rihanna's Stay, & P!nk's JGMAR.  It's a song everyone can relate to.

196 Sevyn Streeter - It Won't Stop (feat. Chris Brown) 2013

One of the best R&B male-female duets of the decade. This was such an excellent introduction to Sevyn as a solo artist. And while Chris is hugely problematic, I must admit he also adds a lot to this song as well and was one of his most underappreciated musical moments of the 2010s. It's a shame this song kind of feels overlooked nowadays. It reminds me of Aaliyah.

195 Hailee Steinfeld - Love Myself 2015

Hailee managed to serve a "self love" anthem in multiple ways with her debut single and I love that she did. It's a clever double entendre and I was impressed with her potential. She still hasn't served an album, though, but that ain't none of my business. She is generally consistent with her quality and I wish she did more in music than she does, but if she gives us stuff like this with her hobby, ok werk!

194 MNEK - Colours (feat. Hailee Steinfeld) 2018

They said "gay rights!" I have been a fan of MNEK's songwriting for the better part of this decade, and was very excited when he announced a solo debut of his own. He delivered, for the most part, and this track was by far my favorite. As its name suggests, it's a colorful, uplifting and inspiring anthem with an explosive chorus and Hailee Steinfeld to add to the earmworm party. This is her final appearance on this countdown, unfortunately.

193 Big Sean - I Don't **** With You (feat. E-40) 2014

I remember listening to this song while I studied for college finals and it was a good message to get me through the misery. I listen to this one whenever I'm fed up about something to this day. It's classic DJ mustard beat with just the right amount of venom to spew at someone you just can't stand. Whether it's a break up, bull**** at work, or finals, there's always someone you don't want to **** with anymore.

192 Bruno Mars - Versace On the Floor 2016

Justice! This should've been a huge smash - I was shocked how poorly it did on the charts. Bruno is good for a throwback, and served up the 90's R&B slow jam we didn't know we needed in the late 2010s. It has a very timeless sound, and makes me want to cruise on a summer evening down a road with neon signs. While it may have "flopped", it remains a highlight of Bruno's discography.

191 Rihanna - Bitch Better Have My Money 2015

First of all, this video is incredible and one of the best of the decade. It's Quentin Tarantino meets grandeur pop music video. Second of all, this song GOES OFF and is (unintentionally?) relatable af. When you earned your money, WHERE'S THE MONEY?! Rihanna looking out for her coin. The production also goes really hard and she rides this beat like she's a top rapper in the industry. She has so much effortless swagger and confidence, it's sickening.

You've been warned, Rihanna will be appear many times on this countdown from here on out.
