Frank Ocean is the face of modern RnB I'm sorry :rip:

Genres change over time. Rock of the 70s isn't rock of today. RnB of the 90s isn't the RnB of today.

TWIL is a pop song first. It has nearly no aspects of modern RnB - just listen to Blonde, A Seat at the Table, Future, or Drunk for an idea of where modern RnB is

So if a 70s rock song was released today, it would be pop?

Does it really need that much airplay for a debut. I'm just saying because don't some songs debut with just sales?

Iggy went from having a #1 song to not even make the Hot 100. :skull:

She usually starts smashing on her 4th single so we'll see :cm:

What?

Of course it could also debut at #1 with 330k, 20M streams and 0 airplay or 420k sales and 0 streams and 0 airplay or 100k sales, 68M streams and 0 airplay or 0 sales, 0 streams and 500M airplay.

Don't think 40M airplay is that unrealistic considering the other numbers I put, but who knows. Don't see him debuting at #1 anyway

Yeah I can't see him debuting at #1. Radio will drop this song fast after its radio deal + I can't see it being a streaming hit.

First week sales are sky ****ing high though

This seems quite hard but i think he MIGHT reach those numbers on sales and airplay, doubt about streaming though.

Harry should have dropped the music video on the same day for the #1 debut, it's gonna be hard to get there without it

I just realized he has no video and already dark red

I would expect it to be dark red with a 90% lead :deadbanana:

Billboard's article about Lamar's "Humble" says the numbers are a bit higher than predicted:

Quote

Following its first full week of activity, industry forecasters suggest that "Humble" could sell more than

125,000 downloads in the week ending April 6. When finalized streaming (likely in the range of

40-50 million U.S. streams in the tracking week ending April 6), propelled by the track's official video, and radio airplay (10-15 million in all-format audience in the week ending April 9) are added to the mix -- as the Hot 100 blends U.S. streaming, airplay and sales data -- the track should start in the top five on the April 22-dated tally.

I can see 40 million streams. 50 makes no sense to me.

"Kendrick Lamar's "Humble" is set to blast onto next week's Billboard Hot 100 (dated April 22) in the top five and perhaps pose a challenge to the chart's current No. 1, Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You," which has reigned for 10 weeks so far."

Even with 125k sales and 50M streams it wouldn't be #1.

Apple can surprise with their streaming numbers sometimes (I have my doubts about their numbers in general and will have until they start posting them publicly).

Lol what? Spotify numbers could be wrong too. Why does posting them publicly make a difference.

And for 40M he already needs massive AM numbers

Praying for Kendrick's Youtube views to be extremely local.

Kendrick US Youtube

Almost 50% from the US is extremely local.

Edit: Wait mess. It's showing nothing for the first 3 days of the tracking week. :rip: It used to though.... And then the 50 million makes some more sense too.

Edit2: It used to show 8.6M for the first 3 days. So adding those my updated streaming estimate would be around 46 million. Would still be at #3 with that, but #2 is possible I guess if he's even higher than that and kworb underestimated a bit.
