It sure as hell wasn't a weak #1, when its impact was limited by the US radio refusing to play it on the radio, And it still HIT #1 with almost 400 points 5 months later and it's still top 10 5 weeks later despite being a 6 months old song. Shallow is absolutely massive and gonna reach BILLION streams on Spotify next year. This year it will close with 800m streams Shallow is having a better longevity than all of those songs, bar Havana. Also both Havana and Cheap Thrills had a big chance to be more global than Shallow because of their sound. Do you really think an Americana song like Shallow would hit #1 in countries like Honduras, Uruguay, Guatemala and etc.? It got nothing less than the other songs lol Its charted lower than those only because of Radio. Their streaming numbers and sales will agree with me. anyways. Shallow will spend around 40weeks on the Hot100 and will be faaar away from the weakest ones. You being a Katy fan and saying “its simply isnt big” says it all.
