You can also look at stations playlists when a song is out first day and literally see if they’re playing it at the top of every hour lol.

You can't talk about what's popular on POP radio without taking into account what's going on socially and politically in the country. Pop radio has always reflected the mood of people 16-34 years old. If you fail to realize how that demographic feels and fail to connect to them, then your music will underperform.
