There has been no announcement, no deal, and it's called "instant grat" by her team, why would you want it to be the second single? Messy if you want, still hugely successful and the album will demolish every past release this year. I'm living already.

Mediabase Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 3pm EST and the song is already at -520! I think another -800+ update tomorrow is a sure thing.Gorgeous is also flopping too today. No spins on Z100, KIIS

teamlor Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Ready For It? has just been added to All Access' downloads section Look is removed Gorgeous is nowhere to be found
H-I-M Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 I'd be playing the 'second single is coming one day' card too if my fave had disappointed me with 3 singles in a row.

I'm not disappointed at all, she's queen more than ever. It's just pure logic (not everyone has that tho) that the second single is still coming.
rihannabiggestfan Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 I think iHype was being sarcastic, but idk

On monday probably?
QueenofCopyPaste Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 By the time her album release comes there's no songs in the top 20 in radio.
Mediabase Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 (edited) The update we will get on Monday morning for Sunday will be the last negative update of historic proportions. Today's update of over -900 will be the peak of negative updates. Now it's the weekend and songs are not played as much as weekdays anyway because of countdown and remix shows so the potential for increases and drops is "naturally" smaller in the weekends. Remember this is a rolling chart so every update after Monday will be compared to updates of -800 and -900 which is completely nuts and unprecedented. The drops are going to look more normal next week. I think tomorrow we will get an update around -750 to -880. Also, the bullet will start exploding upwards because when you are left with no spins you can't have a -5000 bullet for long. Lol. Mathematically impossible. Edited October 22, 2017 by Mediabase

With how things are projected for the next two days (800-900 spins loss) the song will end up with 11k spins and 55 AI on pop at the end of the tracking week. So a daily drop of 200-300 spins is more realistic since that is what happens to most of the songs after they peak, right?

I like Taylor okay, but having studied and written about the Country Chart (and Active Rock, Alternative, AAA, and Christian Rock), when a song with poor metrics (sales and streaming dropping, and awful call out scores), hits #1, there's no doubt radio was paid to play Look so it could reach #1, which will be followed by a record setting drop from #1 on the T 40 chart. As big of an artist Swift is, there's no excuse for her label paying stations to boost her song. Nor is there any excuse for needing to discount her song on ITunes just to get a third week at #1. Like Katy Perry, Swift felt the need to lead off her album with a "message" song. And yes, Look outperformed Rhythm by a large margin. But, when Perry tried to go back to her regular types of songs, the GP wasn't there for them, and Wisdom's era ended far faster than Perry had wanted. Later this morning, we will see how well Gorgeous held up on Spotify, which I don't think will come close to the first day of streaming. While Ready and Gorgeous are supposedly just "promo" tracks, their performance could mean Swift's alienated the GP, and, as with Perry, Swift going back to what the GP expected from both artists could be too late to salvage the era. Yes, I still think Reputation will outsell Wisdom substantially, but I can't see her album even reaching Red's sales, even with SPS included. I hope I turn out to be wrong about Swift. But, I think at least partially to her County roots would work well for her. Reba McEntire's 30+ year career clearly shows ageism isn't prevalent, even for women, in that format. And I also want Perry to return with a successful album. However, I do think Perry should return to the Alternative-leaning One Of The Boys sound, as ageism is less prevalent in the Rock formats as well.
Mediabase Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 (edited) It is 1am EST and the song is at -680 to -700. I think it is pretty safe to say that this is gonna be tomorrow's update. Edited October 22, 2017 by Mediabase

She will slay in the morning with almost like +380 to +400! As for Pink, unfortunately she's getting "too old" for stupid US pop radio. A top10 peak would be nice. We need to focus on snatching the no1 on HOT AC because remember she has the record for most no1s by any artist on that format but it goes back and forth between her and Maroon5 all the time.
