Green Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 The excuses of dropping the song fast because a new single is coming is ridiculous Especially when Ed Sheeran's 3rd single Perfect is getting amazing updates while Shape of You is still perched in the top 10 after 10 months
Letters From Adi Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 1-800 might move to #4 tomorrow. Hope Demi doesn't block the song.
ATRL Moderator Porygon2z Posted October 19, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted October 19, 2017 If someone paid me for drinking Pepsi a whole week, I would ditch it at the moment that week ended because it's unhealthy. Something similar happened here, stop justifying.

Hopefully pop radios will drop Look even harder tomorrow to make the largest room for Gorgeous. After hitting #1, what a perfect and smart move it is. When will she lose?

Taylor is gonna lose 800 spins tomorrow so she's gonna fall behind 1-800, Attention and Demi. She's gonna be all the way down to no7. Crazy if you think that she was at no1 on Sunday, just a few days ago. Demi is heading straight to no1. Maybe 1-800 after her. Edited October 19, 2017 by Mediabase

Will she drop out of Top 10 before the end of the charting week?

Fruity Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 I enjoy Feel It Still but I understand why its relatively unpopular. It has quite an odd vibe, weird vocals, kinda alternative

I thought the vocals were female the first time I heard it.
Mediabase Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 (edited) It is 10:30pm eastern and based on the real time updates, -800 to -850 is on lock for tomorrow. The drops will be like that until Monday. After Monday, since this is a rolling chart and the drops were historic and record breaking this week, the song will stabilize. At some point next week you will see positive bullet updates because it will be mathematically impossible for the bullet to drop more. Edited October 20, 2017 by Mediabase
volition Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Feel it still is just super basic and the mentioning of the years annoys me. Screams radio hit though, definitely worse songs exist

Yes, this is a HUGE problem at Country radio. However, Country PDs have actually started standing up to labels who try to get a new #1 song every week. This was a topic discussed in BB's Country Weekly Update a couple of months back. Stations openly regretted enabling the labels behavior for so long, as labels would push stations to drop songs as soon as they hit #1. The audience was sometimes just beginning to enjoy the song. On BB this year, there have been some huge boosts to get a song to #1 followed by a huge drop the next week, but not as many as 2014-6. In 2017, there have been 3 3 wk #1s, 1 4 wk #1s, and a handful of 2 wk #1s that have put breaks in the revolving door at #1. Also, many more songs are remaining in the T 10 4-5+ weeks after reaching #1. Country PDs finally started putting their listeners over the labels this year, and hopefully this trend will continue for years to come.
brianc33710 Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 @iHype. What is the record for the biggest drop from #1 on the T 40 airplay chart? I have a feeling Look will challenge, if not break, this unwanted record next week. I could easily see Look falling out of the BB H 100 T 10, all the way from #4, given that radio was largely what helped keep her in the T 5 this past week. And yes, Never Ever did fall 4-11 in 2012 due to BB's now defunct policy of not counting CMAs towards H 100 points. BB said Never Ever had close to -90k sales that week. The next week, Swift rebounded 11-5. I think BB changed this policy for the 2013 CY, as I remember songs that year getting a sales boost upon the albums release dates.
