Lol, it's been actually poor weeks for Miley lately, starting from the disappointing performance of her album, and now that second single dead on arrival. The "fluke" allegations will continue, but "Jaded" is a different direction, we'll see.

Did Morgan send different Last Night versions to Country & mainstream radio? The lyric video has quite a bit of steel guitar but the video from the One Thing At A Time album session doesn't seem to have the steel & has more keyboards. But I may just mishear hear the videos.

No recurrents this week, but this is purge season. Expect at least 4 purges, and possibly up to 6 (we may actually get rid of Wrapped Around Your Finger), depending on the next 2 updates of Post’s new song, which has been serviced to Pop:

Just a thought, maybe Pop should focus on pushing songs with good streaming, like Cupid and Ella Baila Sola, instead of trying to manufacture pop princesses, like Sabrina and Jax. Pop is pushing way too many songs like nonsense and Cinderella Snapped that don’t really move the needle.

I don't want the days when radio creates a hit to be gone tho (even though its already mostly gone) :'( Songs used to get popular on radio and then later catch up on streaming and get popular everywhere.

I love the mix we have now! radio playing some streaming hits, some TikTok hits, and some radio songs well liked by their listeners (callouts). We get hits from multiple sources, so we get it all on radio

Radio needs to hold on to Kill Bill just this week :chick3:

Nonsense has good callouts, stable streaming numbers and a good TikTok exposure and it’s catchy af… idk why people still acts like people don’t like the song or that the label is just putting down everyone throats when it’s not like that

I never said that I hated those artists. I actually like some songs by them, like Watermelon Sugar, Say So, and Kiss Me More. I just don’t like it when Pop/radio holds on to songs way longer than they should.

The pop charts would be way more enjoyable if songs had the Break My Soul type run, like they used to in the 1970s. There really is no reason for radio to be holding onto songs for over a year.

Definitely this. A high turnover rate keeps the charts fresh and exciting.

Never said you hated em, just that you came for them. :eli:

Blame GP, they actually take MONTHS to move on from the hits, it's what both callouts and streaming show. It's probably hard to believe for some here, but people really can still enjoy overplayed songs, based on my own experience at least. Although I agree programmers should be more aggressive sometimes, public's demand doesn't show a much different story than what we have right now.

It's also because GP discovers songs so late. Like my friend was shazaming "You Broke Me First" and thought it was brand new. It was 1 year old (at the time). :skull:

I mean, even myself still have "I'm Good (Blue)" and "Anti-Hero" on my daily playlist, and removed "Unholy" like 2 weeks ago. :dies: To be fair, Guetta must put some crack on that song, it's so addictive and catchy, even though it's as generic as it gets.
