Still Friday - Thursday for sales and streams and Monday - Sunday for airplay. It's just the date of the charts that will be changed in the archives. Next week we get the Hot 100 for 15th - 21st December and that chart will be dated January 6th. That date will be moved forward 1 week to December 30th (not 100% sure if that week will already be moved or starting with next week). Should be moved at least another week, but whatever... Better than nothing I guess

Part of that ageism is the act of being seen as not relevant by teens and that they don't relate. That's exactly what ageism is all aboit. lets look st it another way. Why is how old you are, or if you prefer, relevance, only a factor on pop and the hot 100. And also rap. why don't we see it on country? Those people are old. Why don't we seem it on rock? Those people are ancient. Yet consistently topping the chart and landing top five for artists with decades of experience is normal. teens who influence the charts want young and hip. Occasionally you'll get old and hip, but you gotta be unique to achieve hip and old. And pop top 40 radio follows suit and plays young and hip. theres nothing more ageism than that. I don't see the big deal at all Acts like Pink have been in the game since the 90s...20 years and what not...thats a long damn time They had their time, yes they can still try to appeal to the younger crowd but who really cares? Their hardcore fans grew old with them...cater to them Make way for the newer acts who are just starting out their career...give them their time to shine It's very selfish to me to complain about older acts not experiencing much radio success in present time

fridayteenage
i would say 2013 since it's when Streaming Songs started. just like i would say 2005 is digital era for billboard purposes, as that's when Digital Songs started. fridayteenage
I said it's the Hot 100 thread because it's the Hot 100 thread, and thus peaks spoken of in the Hot 100 thread should be assumed to be Hot 100 peaks. I would argue that dating back to when Streaming Songs existed as a chart makes the most sense, since a huge chunk of it in 2013 through now is video streaming, which was not the case in 2012.
