  5. I don’t mind her announcing her album because it wasn’t some huge award it was like pop vocal so idk why people are so mad about that I cringed when she was singing to Vampire, like I’m sorry you’ve done enough, leave Liv alone. Don’t embrace her on a telecast for brownie points and then move differently when the cameras are off.

  6. This video, its popularity, and the comments in here from people praying for her “downfall” are definitely a little concerning - but not for Taylor Swift.

  7. Oh wow. Shes over! How is she ever going to recover from this?! Again, you guys need to understand that whoever is hating on her today was already hating on her yesterday, and 1 week ago, and 1 year ago.... This changes nothing.

  8. a few things about this video. - yes, the celine snub was disrespectful and out of touch. it was a bad look but she acknowledged her mistake and made it up with a photo. enough, shes a human as well. - the stuff she says about olivia is also true. taylor was wrong for that and i will forever be on olivia's side regarding this cruel summer bs. - why is her announcing an album there a bad thing? SZA previewed a new song in a commercial and kacey musgraves did a commercial for her new album as well. it was a big highlight during the show and a memorable moment. literally nothing wrong with announcing music at music's biggest night. and lets be real, she did not "drag" lana on stage. lana was a featured on midnights so she deserves to also be up there on stage. and taylor literally used the moment to praise lana because she knew she lost all her nominations. she said she wouldnt be on stage if it wasn't for lana and called her a "legend in her prime". this was amazing moment and its weird people use it against taylor.

  9. This is so dumb and debunkable, like for example she didn't announce her album during the AOTY speech. She didn't hijack the show where EVERYONE comes to promote something, Dua sang her yet to be released song and Kacey announced her own album (iirc). Adele was praised for acknowledging Beyonce after winning AOTY for 25 but for Taylor to get Lana on stage it's somehow bad? She didn't in any way shade Celine, she sang along to her song right before accepting the award. She hung out with her afterwards.... It just shows how uninformed the average gp listener is And the girls eat it up because there's NOTHING substantial to drag Taylor for.

  14. My current thoughts on the tracks, might change in the next few days or hours 1. “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone: Most people have said they think it'll be about the two weeks of The Eras Tour before it was announced that Joe and her broke up. I personally think it'll be about the first crack in the relationship. A moment where they might have been on pause or something similar. A small period of time during which there was a big uncertainty about the future of their relationship. 2. “The Tortured Poets Department”: I think this one will touch on the subject of Joe being someone very "artsy" and tortured in the sense he was not the most joyous person and maybe prone to depressive moments. Entirely speculative of course, but it aligns with the fact he had a group-chat called "The Tortured Man Club". Maybe she will touch on how it might have been difficult to be with him in these moment, but that she stayed because she truly loved him. Kinda "hoax"-coded in a way. 3. “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys”: I think this one will have a sarcastic turn. It might be a commentary on the fact that broken souls have this tendency to take it out on the people that they love the most and the people that love them the most. Re-enforcing this idea that even though she loved him, it was hard to love him and be with him. Maybe a call back to the "I love you, it's ruining my life" on the back cover. 4. “Down Bad”: A bit hard to say for me. I have two theories. Either it's going to be about being so in love she just cannot quit this relationship even though it's become unhealthy for her, or it's right after the break-up and she's feeling profoundly sad because 1) she didn't manage to make it work out and 2) because she put up with a lot only to be left feeling like she lost so much time and energy for nothing. 5. “So Long, London”: I want this one to be about the lingering hurt that a failed relationship leaves on you. How London, which was once a place of warmth, of joy and relief, has now become tainted by the failed relationship. Like she won't ever be able to enjoy the place in the same way, without feeling down. 6. “But Daddy I Love Him”: I just want this one to be about the metaphor of The Little Mermaid. I want her to give her perspective on what shutting-down a part of her has done to her. 7. “Fresh Out the Slammer”: I think this one will be about her feelings right after they finally ended things. A mix of relief, sadness, angst, bitterness, hopelessness and being hopeful of brighter things coming ahead. 8. “Florida!!!” featuring Florence + The Machine: Florida was her first public appearance after the news of them breaking up. It's hard to tell what would this one be about. I actually don't really have an idea. EDIT: maybe talking about how the love she received from the fans when she was on stage truly helped her. 9. “Guilty as Sin?”: I imagine this one will be about wondering if she made the right choice, and wonder who's really to blame for the break-up. She might as well touch on the idea that she started to feel guilty for seeing Ratty so soon after the break-up. Like feeling bad for Joe. 10. “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”: This will probably be the most sarcastic song on the entire album. Everyone is afraid of Little Old Taylor. She was at her most scathing point ever. Not really sure who will be cooked on this one, but someone's losing his wig. 11. “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)”: I really can't see it being about any other thing than Ratty. Especially so far into the tracklist (assuming it's chronological). Talking about fixing Joe AFTER "So Long, London" would feel a bit out of place imo. 12. “loml”: I think she purposefully used an acronym. I think it'll talk on the rebound with Ratty. And I really like the theory that she left it an acronym so that she'll start the song saying "Love Of My Life" and then switch to something else. Kinda referencing how she was saying i love you to Ratty on stage after like a few weeks only. Might touch on the idea that she ran head-first in this relationship to escape the hurt of the break-up with Joe when actually, it wasn't it AT ALL. 13. “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”: I think it'll touch on The Eras Tour, and how she had to pull through her being heart-broken and go on with the tour. She'll probably touch on how hard it must have been to summon the physical and psychological energy to do all that while falling apart. 14. “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”: I wonder if it's gonna be about Travis Kelcey tbh, obviously as a joke based on his physical size but in reality in the intimacy he's very caring and sweet? But once again at that point I don't think it's about Joe, it's just too late in the track-list for a cooking-class. Or else, it's could be about how dating Travis has made her view her relationship with Joe completely differently. 15. “The Alchemy”: I really like the theory I've seen saying that alchemy was about changing basic metals into gold, and the parallels with the fact that Taylor has always described Joe with the word "golden" or "gold". I wonder if it's going to be a song about realizing you just cannot change someone, no matter what you do. Or maybe that the relationship with Travis made her feel like she was no longer like basic metal but made her feel like gold (again). I'm terrible at explaining the metaphor, that's why Taylor is the songwriter and not me. 16. “Clara Bow”: I think we're in for a "the last great american dynasty" moment. It's going to draw the parallels between Clara Bow and Taylor. I think it'll particularly emphasize on the scrutiny regarding their love life.

  16. The second biggest peak of the 21st century only behind Adele's 21 With Gaga it wasn't just hit after hit after hit. It was SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT after SMASH HIT. The way everyone and their grandmothers had heard of her was unlike anything in the 21st century. And even more impressive is that, unlike Adele, she went unknown -----> THE BIGGEST ARTIST IN THE WORLD in her debut era. Incredible debut.

  17. People fuming about her announcing her album during her acceptance and turning it into a bad thing is so hilarious. Taylor didn’t “make” anything “about her”. She literally won an award and if she wants to announce HER album during HER acceptance speech about HER album, she can do that she’s not the first person to do that Also i’m sick of the Lana and Celine discourse people act as if she went up there, pushed her out the way, called that lady a b!tch and spit on her as she walked off of stage. Celine didn’t even feel like it was a “snub. Taylor was singing to Celine’s song as she was making her entrance and took a photo with her. If Celine isn’t upset, WHY are you If any other artist did this you would not give a single **** Also, she literally brought Lana on the stage because that is her friend and even though she didn’t win any grammys, she wanted to bring Lana onstage to praise her and let her have some sort of moment and include her in her acceptance speech. Hating Taylor needs to be classified as a mental illness at this point because the amount of mental gymnastics and reaching I’ve seen this past week is just…. like literally is everything okay at home?

  33. I know I keep saying it but does anyone else see a direct mirroring of Elon Musk fanboys when you look at the way Swifties respond to ANY criticism of their fave? They always go with some kind of clapback that points out: 1. A figure, whether it's a chart placement, sales or income 2. You're just jealous 3. They own the world 4. Some sort of personal attack and it's always littered with laughing emojis and other troll imagery. They worship the success and domination of their billionaire fave, and feel somehow included in that experience because of their parasocial obsession. It's f*cking alarming, and this behaviour is ALL OVER this thread

  35. These threads always feel so… forced. Like the people trying to get lashings in know nothing is going to happen, because none of this “backlash” is real, but they get so few chances now days that they feel they have to get it in while they can. And they drags aren’t even good or funny. It’s… kind of sad

  37. People are still perpetually online dragging her for this? I can't with people like this want to spend all this energy piecing together a video over one obscenely white rich woman being rude (surprise surprise?) and forgetting her manners and not acknowledging another obscenely rich white woman in the moment, dragging another rich white woman up on stage with her, while accepting an award that we have is established is mostly irrelevant and meaningless anyway. Grass needs to be touched, etc. Celine, Lana, and Olivia are all sitting comfy in one of their several mansions without a single care given about what happened almost a week ago. They are all rich and privileged and don't need working class people to run to their defense over petty nonsense.

  38. Not a single lie was told, WHEW. I'm still not over that EXTREMELY uncomfortable clip of Taylor crashing Boygenius' press pictures back stage and making them kiss her Grammy. Lucy Dacus looked like she wanted to punch her and I don't blame her.
