  1. We used to be a ******* nation remember Godga.. like we used to have POP girls they used to serve the gays… we used to stNd for something. This ***** said pop music will never be low brow where the **** are the GIRLS. This greedy fake country redneck ***** from Pennsylvania has the nerve to put out Tortured Matty Healy Defenders Department and her fans eat it up. We want ******* Telephone back! We want PERFORMANCES BACK!!! I HATE RELATABILITY AS A POP STAR YOU SHOULD BE INACCESIBLE AND LARGER THAN LIFE WHYYYY WOULD YOU WANNA BE BEST FRIENDS WITH THE ARTIST YOU STAN?? IS YOUR OWN LIFE THAT MISERABLE THAT YOU NEED TO FEEL PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL TO FEEL BETTER ABT UR OWN MISERABLE LIFE?? It should have been Gaga on top… she knew what pop culture needed. Taylor ruined everything. We need to destroy her I'm so serious the FBI needs to arrest her for domestic and international terrorism

  2. She cares so much about what people think of her it makes her unlikeable and her artistry, in my opinion, phony.

  4. The fact he has praised taylor several times but he's only misogynist when he badly reviews her y'all need to look up what misogyny really means and realize y'all fave weaponized that to shelter herself from criticism

  5. Ms. Thing is so calculated and yet people try to overlook her obvious antics. She knows by doing this the reviewers will be incentivized to be positive for clicks. Other girls would be scalped for this, imagine Beyonce did this, thread would be 100 pages.

  9. Spotify announced Wednesday that Taylor Swift‘s “The Tortured Poets Department” has become the first album in the app’s history to pick up a billion streams in a single week. And it did that with still a couple of days left to go in the seven-day period in question. The previous high-water mark for most album streams in a week belonged to Swift’s last all-new release, “Midnights,” in October 2022. Spotify did not release a specific figure when it announced at the time that “Midnights” had broken the record, but observers adding the numbers through publicly available Spotify data at the time estimated the figure to be in the 700,000s. That “Tortured Poets” is setting new Spotify records five days into its run is not a surprise. Previously, the DSP had announced that the album had surpassed 300 million streams in just its first day out. As far as individual songs go, the first single from the album has also set Spotify records, as the app previously revealed that “Fortnight,” which features Post Malone, had become the most-streamed song in a single day in Spotify history on its first day of release.

  11. Listening to the album now, it's def a 10/10. The vocal in this album feels opening up a lot more comparing to the previous albums. So many different sounds blended so well that makes it so intriguing and very Billie, she pulls a lil bit of rock, a lil bit of alternative, a lil bit of electronic music.

  12. Ended those kiss-assing critics who are afraid to give her fair scores. This album is indeed a 6 at most, there's no way they would make us believe it's a 100 just bc it's by Taylor (looking at you Rolling Stone). She needs a break, switch her sound for a bit, and most of all ditch Jack AntonOFF + Aaron. And also stop adding every single song she recorded for an album on the tracklist for the sake of numbers. It's not even a conceptual thing, she literally gives the album and then the scraps along with a text with beautiful words so the fans think they're getting some high level art piece

  13. - The endless strings of metaphors and similes on this record just fall flat. "The writing quality on these tracks really makes it difficult to feel for Taylor in the midst of all of this heartbreak." - Taylor hasn't taken the time conceptually or sonically to formulate a new sound, a new direction, a new evolution to coincide with this latest album cycle which she usually does with her new albums. "As a result, the material on this record on the broader pop landscape sounds derivative, sounds redundant, sounds uninspired." "I think she's closing those creative gaps by copying her contemporaries' homework. Ariana already wrote the angry at my audience for dragging me over my boyfriend anthem-of-the-year with yes, and? The song imgonnagetyouback - Olivia Rodrigo literally already did this same wordplay concept on get him back! with her latest record. There's already Florida!!! and Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? where Taylor cannot help herself from ripping off Lana Del Rey again and again and again not only lyrically, but vocally and melodically." - She needs to stop working with Jack Antonoff. "To put it bluntly, she needs to stop working with him or take a break because their creative partnership on this record is not yielding the results it used to. We're now getting multiple instrumentals that feel like Midnights but worse." "Jack forcing some awful 80s pastiche onto Taylor's songs that make them sound dated upon impact." "Jack's work with Taylor is just not what it used to be." Positive takeaways: loml is the best song on the album.

  15. Taylor doesn't need to move on, she needs to grow up. It's been forever, she's a grown woman now, and that song is terrible.

  23. I have played the album the whole week non-stop and haven't gotten tired of it, although it's been a bittersweet week as well. One dear friend who was a swiftie too passed away early this month and he was really excited for it but I'm sure he would've loved it as much as I did, I know that for sure!

  26. It's so sad that Swifties rely solely on numbers and reviews. Just goes to show how boring and bland the music is, cause when one of the two is gone, they absolutely lose it.

  27. He's right. The nerve of her to drag Lana up on that Grammys stage when she knew full well the album she was announcing was a cheap ripoff of a Lana album.

  36. I know she acts like a teenager, but Taylor is actually in her mid 30s and therefore also "pushing 40", just like Fantano and her metacritic scores.
