Kevin2803 Posted December 23, 2017 Author Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) Artists 20. Jessie Ware I always loved Jessie's voice and "Wildest Moments" was my jam back then, but she never slayed me like this before. "Midnight" was a good lead-single, but "Selfish Love" was even better. And her album "Glasshouse" is full of bops. It's her first time within the top 20. She placed #41 in 2014. 19. Ed Sheeran You couldn't escape Ed and his music this year. I wouldn't say i'm a fan, but he is undeniably really talented and he has some great songs. It's his first time on the artist charts and he probably won't make it again next year, except he's releasing another album in 2018, but i doubt that. 18. Ariana Grande Ariana didn't release a new album this year, but some singles, like "Everyday" and cover versions of "Beauty and the Beast" & "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". And also a Best Of album that slayed the japanese album charts. This and her beautiful charity concert was enough to get her into the top 20 again in 2017, even tho she is down from her #5 position last year. 17. Selena Gomez It wasn't easy this year for Selena, who had a kidney transplant, but 2017 was also the year she grew as an artist. "Bad Liar" and "Fetish" weren't her biggest hits, but critics take her more serious now. But she also slayed the charts with "It Ain't Me" and "Wolves", her dance collaborations with Kygo and Marshmello. And her beautiful renditions of "Only You" and "Kill Em With Kindness", which were released on the soundtrack of the netflix hit show "13 Reasons Why", were also praised. 16. Miley Cyrus Miley returned to being a nice country girl and fiancée this year. No more twerking, no more tongue games and less weed - that's the new Miley Cyrus. Her songs "Malibu" and "Younger Now" were cute, but nothing compared to her best album to date - "Bangerz". It still was enough to make a comeback within the top 20. Albums 40. Ed Sheeran - ÷ This is the first Ed Sheeran album i've ever listened to and i wasn't disappointed. He is very talented and there were some great songs on this album. Not enough to make me stan him, but i will definitely check out his future music. The album peaked at #3 and spent two weeks on the top 10. 39. P!nk - Beautiful Trauma The dance sound on her lead-single "What About Us" was a little different than what we are used from P!nk, but everything this woman does sounds amazing and "Beautiful Trauma" is full of amazing tracks, like the title track or "Secrets". It spent two weeks within the top 10 and peaked at #3, but it returned to the charts in December. 38. Elif - Doppelleben Her debut album "Unter meiner Haut" (Under My Skin) is one of the best german albums i've ever listened to and i was so excited for the follow-up. "Doppelleben" (Double Life) is also a great album, but it needed some time to grow on me. I didn't love it instantly like i did with her debut album. It still debuted at #1 and spent three weeks within the charts. 37. Avicii - AVĪCI (01) - EP Avicii released this cute dance EP in 2017, but "Lonely Together" with Rita Ora was the only song i really used. But that was enough to keep the EP on the charts for six weeks. It peaked at position #4. 36. Billie Eilish - don't smile at me I discovered Billie this year and i'm so thankful for it, because she's insanely talented. I still can't believe she is so young. It's weird to listen to someone who is not even legal sing about stuff like being a serial killer. But it's also SOOO good. The EP peaked at #3 and spent six weeks within the top 10. 35. Rachel Platten - Waves It's sad that this album flopped so hard. It's a good pop album and more grown-up and sexier than her debut album, but that she flopped doesn't surprise me. She seems nice and is very talented, but she doesn't really have much star appeal. "Waves" debuted at #2 and spent three weeks on my charts. 34. Pia Toscano - Belong - EP I'm still mad about her early elimination on "American Idol". She has everything a star needs. Her voice is amazing, she's beautiful and her EP was full of bops. Ugh, i need her to smash, but that probably won't happen. The EP spent two months on the monthly charts and peaked at #3. 33. Yellow Claw - Los Amsterdam I didn't even noticed that i listened to that album that much and now they are my most-streamed artist on Spotify in 2017. Kinda deserved tho, because "Los Amsterdam" slayed. It's full of bops. The album spent four weeks within the top 10 and reached number #6. 32. Astrid S - Party's Over - EP The party just started for Astrid S, because she will only get bigger. Atleast i hope so. She released one of the best EP's of the year and every song sounds like a potential hit. I need her to blow up outside of Norway, because she's just soo good. The EP peaked at #3 and was on the charts for six weeks. 31. Various Artists - Beauty and the Beast (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) I loved the movie and the songs from the movie are amazing, too. But, to be honest, this soundtrack is just so high because i've listened to the american and german version and it has like sixty songs in total. The soundtrack peaked at #1, of course, but it only spent two weeks on the charts. Singles 40. Bebe Rexha - I Got You The song already charted on the year-end countdown in 2016, but slayed even more in 2017. To be honest, i still prefer her first ep, but i can't deny that this is a bop and it's so damn catchy. It spent eleven weeks within the top 40 and peaked at #4 in 2017. 39. Miley Cyrus - Malibu I didn't love this at first, but it's such a chill and relaxing song and Miley sounds amazing here. I still prefer her music on "Bangerz" tho. "Malibu" was on the charts for nine weeks and reached number #2. 38. Astrid S - Breathe This song made me stan her. What a Bop. I can't believe it never reached my top 10. The song peaked at #11, but spent ten weeks within the top 40. 37. Gabrielle Aplin - Waking Up Slow Gabrielle came back this year and released her strongest single to date. Even my friends love it and they don't like the music i listen to very often. The music video was also amazing. The song peaked at #2 and ended it's chartrun after eleven weeks. 36. Charlie Puth - Attention "Attention" is one of the few songs by a male singer that reached #1 on my charts. And it's also Charlie's first number #1 hit on my charts. All his other singles before failed to even reach the top 20 on my charts, even tho, "We Don't Talk Anymore" made my year-end list in 2016. "Attention" spent seven weeks within my top 40. 35. Fergie & Rick Ross - Hungry Everyone loved "You Already Know", but i was always #TeamHungry. That song slayed and the sample fits perfectly. The visuals were also great. The song peaked at #3 and spent eight weeks in my top 40. 34. Lana Del Rey & The Weeknd - Lust for Life For me, it's the best single Lana ever released. I love the vibe of this song and their voices match perfectly. "Lust for Life" reached number #6 on my charts and spent nine weeks within my top 40. 33. P!nk - What About Us "What About Us" is a little different for P!nk with his dance breakdown, but she slays every song and i instantly liked it. The single only reached number #8 on my charts, but stayed on my top 40 for eleven weeks. 32. Dua Lipa & Miguel - Lost In Your Light I wasn't sure if i like this song in the beginning, but it grew on me a lot and that fast. Miguel fits PERFECTLY on this song and their voices sound so ****ing good together. The song spent twelve weeks on the charts and peaked at #2. 31. Cassie & G-Eazy - Love a Loser Cassie had one of the strongest comebacks of the year, even tho no one really noticed. "Love a Loser" is a jam. I love the chill and sexy vibe of this song and Cassie sounds great. And G-Eazy is probably my favorite male rapper. The song even went #1 on my charts and spent nine weeks within my top 40. Movies (i watched at the cinema) 15. Rings I didn't expect much from this movie, so i can't say i was really disappointed. It was okay, but the scary atmosphere of the first two movies was missing and Samara felt more like a secondary character. I liked the twist at the end tho and it would be interesting where the story goes from here, but i could also live without a fouth part. 14. Flatliners "Flatliners" literally was flat. It spents way too much time with the experiments and not enough time with the horror of the aftermath. Visually, it's great, but it's not a really thrilling movie and the resolution was too simple. The cast was okay. I especially liked Nina Dobrev, who had a bigger role than i expected, which was good. 13. Rough Night "Rough Night" was fun, but didn't had those really big laughs. It was still enjoyable tho and i stan Zoé Kravitz since i saw this movie. She looked beautiful. My favorite scene was the one at the airport where they pop the bottle of champagne and everyone starts screaming, because they think someone is shooting. 12. Wolves at the Door "Wolves at the Door" could have been a great thriller, but the abrupt end reduces the overall impression. Until then, however, you can enjoy a entertaining, captivating and dark thriller. 11. Fifty Shades Darker Maybe it was because of the alcohol, but i enjoyed the second part much more than the first one. It was more entertaining and there was more chemistry between the two leads. The dialogues were still cringeworthy tho. Sometimes, i thought i was watching a parody. Movies (i watched at home) 15. Life I had to choose between "Alien: Covenant" and this one and "Life" was the better movie, i think. It was more thrilling, entertaining and i really liked the ending, even tho i saw it coming. 14. The Bride I didn't expect much from this movie and ended up really, really liking it. It was kinda scary sometimes and not a lot of horror movies achieve that anymore. 13. 68 Kill This movie was a hell of a ride and so, so much fun. AnnaLynne McCord slays in those psychotic roles. 12. The Belko Experiment I love these kind of horror movies and this one was really good, bloody and sometimes unpredictable. 11. The Babysitter This movie was so much fun. I even liked Bella Thorne in it and i usually don't think that she's a very good actress, but she was funny in this one. I expected a silly, but funny and bloody movie and that's exactly what i got. Well done, Netflix. Replies Spoiler On 22.12.2017 at 11:54 AM, TayDine1989 said: Bad Liar deserves better Sorry. But hey, atleast it's her highest charting single this year. Kevin2803 Posted December 24, 2017 Author Posted December 24, 2017 (edited) Artists 15. Allie X I listen to Allie's music for a while now, but she never slayed me like this. "CollXtion II" was pop perfection. And "Downtown" is probably one of the best and most beautiful pop songs of the year or even of all-time. 14. Kehlani Another debut on the artist charts. I discovered her music last year and liked it immediately. Her debut album is great, "Gangsta" is a bop and her collaboration with Calvin Harris is perfection. Kehlani just can't do anything wrong. 13. Taylor Swift Taylor Swift returned to the music scene this year and released the best music video of 2017. "reputation", her latest album, is also full of bops. You can think of her what you want, but she always delivers perfect pop music. 12. Kelly Clarkson I love Kelly. Not only because of her music, but also because of her personality. She always seems like such a nice and funny person. But her music is also amazing, of course. "Meaning of Life" is an amazing album. She climbs from her #33 position last year to number #12. 11. Camila Cabello The highest debut of the year. People like to hate on her, but the truth is that she was the reason why Fifth Harmony had some recognition value. People, who are not familiar with 5H, would immediately recognize their songs, because of her voice. People also try to belittle her success, but who cares? "Havana" is a worldwide smash and i'm sure her album will slay. Albums 30. Various Artists - 13 Reasons Why (A Netflix Original Series Soundtrack) There was a lot discussion about this show, but for me, it was one of the best shows of the year. And the show also had an amazing soundtrack. Not only introduced this album me to Billie Eilish, it also had some great songs from Selena Gomez. The soundtrack peaked at #2 and spent four weeks within my top 10. 29. Nikki Flores - XII XV - EP Nikki is trying to have her breakthrough for quite some time now, but she never really made it, which is sad, because she is very talented. "How To Love Her" is an amazing song and the EP has other great tracks as well. It only peaked at #8, but spent four weeks on the charts. 28. Maria Voskania - Magie Maria placed third on "German Idol" this year and released her album a couple months after the finale. I said more than once now that i'm not a big fan of Schlager, but this sounds more like german pop. Her songs are really catchy and her voice is beautiful. The album stayed only two weeks within the top 10, but peaked at #3. 27. Bebe Rexha - All Your Fault: Pt. 2 - EP Bebe not only blessed us with one but two EP's this year, so we basically got a full album. Her second EP of 2017 gave us bops like "(Not) The One", but also the pop-country smash "Meant To Be". The EP reached number #2 on the charts and spent five weeks withing the top 10. 26. Hey Violet - From the Outside Another new artist i discovered this year is this great band. The first time Hey Violet charted on my top 40 was with their single "Break My Heart". What followed was this great album and their even better single "Hoodie". The album spent five weeks on the charts and peaked at #2. 25. Betty Who - The Valley Betty's album was a real surprise this year. I never expected it to be that good, but almost every song sounds amazing. The album only spent three weeks within the top 10 tho, but it peaked at #2. 24. Julia Michaels - Nervous System Julia is one of the most talented newcomers of the year and she proved it with her first mini album "Nervous System". It has emotional love songs like "Issues", but also sexy and fun bops like "Pink", which shows that she can sing anything. "Nervous System" reached number #1 on the top 10 and spent five weeks within the top 10. 23. Jessie Ware - Glasshouse Whew, Jessie slayed me this year. "Midnight" and "Selfish Love" were already some great lead-singles and the album has much more to offer. I liked her debut album, but this one is even better. "Glasshouse" debuted at #1 and stayed in the top 10 for five weeks. 22. Lorde - Melodrama I was already surprised about "Green Light", because i've never thought i would like a Lorde song so much. But this song made me feel things i couldn't even describe and the album is even better. Songs like "Sober" or "Homemade Dynamite" are pop masterpieces. "Melodrama" peaked at #1 and spent six weeks within the top 10. 21. Various Artists - Fifty Shades Darker (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) The highest charting soundtrack on this year-end countdown. The movie itself isn't the best, even tho the second part was much better, but the music always slays. Highlight of the soundtrack is Halsey's "Not Afraid Anymore". And i'm sure i will also like the third soundtrack. The album peaked at #1 of the monthly charts and spent two months within the top 20. Singles 30. Fifth Harmony - He Like That This year wasn't easy for Fifth Harmony. They lost Camila and kinda flopped with their third album, even tho it was really good. Maybe this would've done better as a lead-single. "He Like That" is sexy and kinda different from their previous singles. It sadly flopped on the US charts, but it peaked at #2 in my charts and spent eight weeks within the top 40. 29. Jessie Ware - Selfish Love Jessie released this song as the second single of "Glasshouse" and fell immediately in love with it. Jessie's smooth voice and the slight spanish flair makes this one of her best singles. It climbed all the way up to number #1 and stayed on the charts for nine weeks. 28. Fifth Harmony & Gucci Mane - Down It wasn't a good lead-single. It was just too similar to "Work from Home", but not as good. But that also doesn't mean the song is bad. It's still really catchy and spent thirteen weeks within my top 40, peaking at #3. 27. Julia Michaels - Issues The first time i listened to this song, i knew that this was going to be a hit. I'm not even really sure why, i just knew it. And i was right. It's a great debut single and the Alan Walker Remix also slayed. "Issues" became a number #1 hit on my charts and spent eight weeks on my charts. 26. Jax Jones, Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don - Instruction Before releasing her best album to date, Demi Lovato collaborated with some artists. Two of them are Jax Jones and Stefflon Don and together they released this bop that charted at number #1 and was on the charts for twelve weeks. 25. Taylor Swift - Look What You Made Me Do Taylor started her comeback with this surprising tune and of course she broke every record there is. The song got old a little quick and only spent eight weeks within my top 40, but it still peaked at #1. And the music video still slays. 24. Avicii & Rita Ora - Lonely Together 2017 was Rita's year. She released one smash after another. One of them was this collaboration with Avicii. You can barely recognize her voice on this song sometimes, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a bop. It reached number #4 and was on the charts for eleven weeks. 23. Aura - Can't Steal The Music Aura came back to the pop scene stronger than ever, but sadly, no one really cared. Atleast it charted in Denmark, but the rest of the world ignored this bop. Shame on them. This song is amazing. It spent twelve weeks on my top 40 countdown, peaking at #2. 22. Rita Ora - Your Song Another song by Rita Ora on the year-end countdown. With "Your Song", she released one of the catchiest pop songs of the year and smashed worldwide. Her latest single "Anywhere" also starts to climb up the charts. "Your Song" peaked at #4 and stayed on the charts for sixteen weeks. 21. Katy Perry & Migos - Bon Appétit It's kinda funny. It feels like this song ended her career (or atleast the "Witness" era), but for me, it's the best single of the album. And i also think it's the best music video of the era. The song peaked at #1 and spent eight weeks within the top 40. Movies (i watched at the cinema) 10. Jigsaw The comeback of "Saw" was a little bloodless. It wasn't the worst movie of the franchise and definitely entertaining, but the twists were not that surprising or exciting. And the twists are usually the best part of the movies. 9. Murder on the Orient Express My roommate already spoiled the ending of the original for me and i didn't expect them to change it that much, but i was still entertained by the movie. I love a good murder mystery. And the acting was also great. I'm already kinda excited for the second part. 8. Beauty and the Beast What a beautiful movie. But i'm not sure if i would've casted Emma Watson. She always had something boyish about her. But she was still great in it. I also loved the music, but i wish i would've watched it in English. The synchronization was confusing, especially when they were singing. 7. Annabelle: Creation I was sceptical about this movie, because the first one was trash. But the second part was so much better and scarier. Especially the moments when they were just staring into nothing and you just could hear some noises. In the end, the things you can't see are always the scariest. I also liked how the movie was connected to the first one. The doll itself wasn't that scary tho. At one point, it almost felt like a running gag when Annabelle always showed up out of nowhere. 6. Pitch Perfect 3 I just watched this move two days ago and i loved it. It was so much better than the second part. Some plotlines were a little "too much", but still so much fun and the music was great, as usual. I would even watch a fourth part, because the movie is all about the characters and the music. Who cares about the storyline? It was just a little sad that Jesse wasn't part of the movie, because the new guy just wasn't the tea. Movies (i watched at home) 10. Better Watch Out I would recommend watching this movie without watching the trailer first, because it goes in a much more different direction than expected. It's like a reversed and a little more serious version of "The Babysitter". But not that serious. It's still a really fun horror movie. 9. Wish Upon Critics are always way too hard on movies like this. It's not a masterpiece, but it's really entertaining and sometimes, that's already enough. It reminded me of "Final Destination" in some ways. 8. Girls Trip The funnier version of "Rough Night". I still laugh every time i see the grapefruit scene. But there were also some scenes that weren't that funny, just stupid. 7. Tonight She Comes I never expected to get slayed by this movie this much. The movie gets more bizarre by the minute and i loved it. "Tonight She Comes" is so, so funny and one of the horror surprises of the year. It's a real WTF!? movie. 6. Before I Fall I really like this movie. I even watched it twice. The storyline isn't really new or original, but it's a beautiful movie with a good message. The german title is ridiculous long tho. JGibson Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Songs: 3/10 Look What You Made Me Do + Issues + Bon Appétit
Kevin2803 Posted December 25, 2017 Author Posted December 25, 2017 (edited) Artists 10. Katy Perry Yes, it was her flop era and she was kinda a mess this year, but i still liked "Witness". It's not her best album, but it has some cute bops. It's her first time on the artist charts since 2014. She placed #29 back then. 9. Halsey Halsey debuted two years ago on #46 and now, she climbed all the way up into the top 10. After the success with "Closer", she released her second album "hopeless fountain kingdom" and established herself as one of the new main pop girls. 8. Demi Lovato Demi had her "Stripped" era this year. "Sorry Not Sorry" smashed the charts and "Tell Me You Love Me" is her best album to date. She also released a successful YouTube documentary. She climbs two spots up this year. 7. Zara Larsson Zara released her second album this year, which was her first album that charted around the world. Her collaboration with Clean Bandit was also a worldwide smash hit and she even released a duet with german icon Nena. She climbs from number #20 into the top 10. 6. Bebe Rexha It's her third year in a row on the artist charts, but she never was this high. She debuted on #28 in 2015, fell all the way down to #41 last year and now jumps to number #6. Thanks to both of her "All Your Fault" EP's. Albums 20. Wincent Weiss - Irgendwas gegen die Stille It's the highest charting album by a male artist, i think and he definitely deserves it. He has such a nice voice, is really cute and his songs are also great. He debuted at #1 and spent six weeks within the top 10. 19. Kesha - Rainbow Kesha had probably the biggest comeback of the year. She lost her dollar sign and the trashy pop songs and grew so much as an artist. Her songs are still fun tho. The album obviously went to #1 and spent five weeks in the charts. 18. Various Artists - Eurovision Song Contest 2017 Kyiv The Eurovision Song Contest is always a big event for one of my best friends and myself, but i was a little bit disappointed this year. There were still some great songs, but most of them needed to grow on me. In the last years, there were always songs who clicked with me instantly. It was still a nice event tho and the album spent three weeks in my top 10, peaking at #1. 17. Fergie - Double Dutchess I didn't expect to like this album this much, because i barely listened to "The Dutchess", but i fell in love with "Double Dutchess". Amazing songs and amazing visuals. I'm so sad that she flopped so badly with this album. She didn't deserve this. The album peaked at #1 and was on the charts for four weeks. 16. Aura - Can't Steal The Music One of the most underrated pop albums of the year. Almost every song is a bop and she's also amazing live. The album also peaked at #1 and also spent four weeks within my top 10. 15. Yvonne Catterfeld - Guten Morgen Freiheit The highest-charting german album on my year-end countdown. The fact that i saw her live this year plays obviously also a part in her high position, but the album is also really great. She sounds different and more mature than in her previous albums. It's another album that peaked at #1 and it spent three consecutive weeks at the top and one more within the top 10. 14. Bebe Rexha - All Your Fault: Pt. 1 - EP The highest-charting EP on this year-end countdown comes from Bebe Rexha, obviously. I still prefer her first EP, but this was still a great follow-up. Every song sounds amazing. She also climbed all the way up to number #1 and stayed within the top 10 for nine weeks. 13. Lea Michele - Places Lea Michele blessed us with her follow-up to her amazing debut album "Louder" this year. And "Places" has some amazing songs, but it's not as good as her first album, in my opinion. It's still a strong album obviously and Lea sounds amazing, as usual. She spent six weeks on the album charts and reached number #1. 12. Allie X - CollXtion II Allie released the surprise of the year. "CollXtion II" is full of pop masterpieces. There is literally not one bad song on this album and "Downtown" is probably one of the best pop songs ever released. The album peaked at #2 and spent twelve weeks on my charts. 11. Kelly Clarkson - Meaning of Life Kelly was finally able to release that soul album that she always wanted to do and it sounds amazing. You can really hear how happy she is with this kind of music. The album obviously went to number #1 and spent five weeks within the top 10, atleast until the end of November. Singles 20. Icona Pop - Girls Girls I never thought they would top their best song "All Night", but they did with this ****ing bop. I still don't get tired of this song. It spent twelve weeks within my top 40, peaking at #4. 19. Louis Tomlinson, Bebe Rexha & Digital Farm Animals - Back To You Well, i guess Louis won the duel between him and his 1D bandmates. He released the highest-charting solo song out of all of them this year, but the reason for this is obviously Bebe Rexha. It sounds more like he is featured on her single and i don't mind this at all. It's a cute bop that went to number #1 and spent eight weeks on my charts. 18. CNCO & Little Mix - Reggaetón Lento (Remix) Little Mix smashed the UK charts this year and released one hit after another. Their latest chart success is the remix of CNCO's song "Reggaetón Lento", a spanglish bop that charted at number #1 and spent nine weeks within my top 40. 17. Bebe Rexha & Lil Wayne - The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody) Yes, this song is a little basic, but that sample really works and the song is catchy af. Even my friends love it. The song peaked at #2 and spent ten weeks on my charts. 16. Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa - Scared To Be Lonely The new main pop girl Dua Lipa hopped on a Martin Garrix track and together they released one of the best dance tracks of the year. The production is lit and Dua sounds incredible on the song. It was another number #1 hit on my charts and spent eight weeks within the top 40. 15. Cheat Codes & Demi Lovato - No Promises It was a massive year for Demi Lovato, also because of this dance bop. Demi should release dance songs more often, because her voice sounds really good on them. The song spent eleven weeks within my top 40, peaking at #2. 14. Taylor Swift - ...Ready For It? Taylor's lead-single of "reputation" was good, but the follow-up was even better. "...Ready For It?" is a real banger and the chorus is pure pop heaven. The song also went to #1 and stayed on the charts for twelve weeks. 13. Clean Bandit & Zara Larsson - Symphony Zara's biggest hit of the year is her dance collaboration with Clean Bandit. Not only does she sound amazing on this song, the music video was also really beautiful and almost moved me to tears. The song spent nine weeks within my top 40, peaking at #2. 12. Tinashe - Flame Yes, "Flame" is maybe a little basic, but it's also really catchy and proves once again that Tinashe is good in every music genre, whether it is pop, r&b, hip-hop or dance. This girl can do everything - except releasing her second album, i guess. The song spent fourtween weeks in my charts and peaked at number #1. 11. Halsey - Now or Never I wasn't sure if i like this in the beginning, because i really liked her debut album and this "Needed Me 2.0" song is very different than everything she released before, but it grew on me FAST. The lead-single of "hopeless fountain kingdom" climbed to the top and stayed on the charts for thirteen weeks. Movies (i watched at the cinema) 5. Happy Death Day The premise of this movie is really basic, especially considering that "Before I Fall" was also released this year, but the movie was so much fun. It wasn't really bloody, but i didn't need to be. It was entertaining enough without gore and reminded me of the slasher movies of the 90's, which i loved. 4. Atomic Blonde The cast was amazing, the fight scenes were incredible and the soundtrack was also great. I especially loved the "99 Luftballons" scene and the car fight scene to "Major Tom" and that lesbian sex scene even turned me on a little bit. Charlize was a real badass in this movie and looked fantastic. I was just a little confused sometimes, even after watching it a second time, but the movie was so much fun. 3. Get Out I never experienced a movie crowd that was so quiet and concentrated on a movie. The mix between comedy and horror was perfect and the cast was incredible. I just wasn't a big fan of the resolution of the story or atleast part of it, because i expected more twists. But "Get Out" is definitely a great movie. 2. IT I saw a lot of comments from people who complained about the movie, because they didn't think it was a horror movie, mostly because they thought it was too funny. But i thought the humour fit perfectly into the movie and made me like the characters even more, which is important for a horror movie, because why would you care about what happens to them otherwise? And for me, "IT" isn't just a horror movie about a clown that scares and kills people, it's a horror movie about real fears like bullying, sexual abuse and the horror of growing-up. 1. mother! It's not really a surprise, isn't it? Of course, this amazing movie would be my number one. I don't remember ever watching a movie that was so captivating, but at the same time i thought "What the **** is going on?". Everything was spinning in my head and i tried to find out what this movie is even about. It was like a puzzle and i loved every minute of it. I felt so smart, because i actually figured it out. And the cast was also absolutely incredible. I can't wait to buy the DVD in January and watch it all over again. Movies (i watched at home) 5. What Happened to Monday? Interesting dystopia thriller with a pinch of "Orphan Black". The twist is so predictable, but that doesn't take away the entertainment value. "What Happened to Monday?" is entertaining, uncompromising, effective and has a great cast. 4. Everybody Loves Somebody I love Karla Souza in "How To Get Away with Murder" and she was really great in this romantic comedy. It was a really nice feel good movie with a great cast. 3. Feed Troian Bellisario and the rest of the cast and crew have created a stunningly realistic film about anorexia. "Feed" is dark, creative, emotional and extremely important to understand what it's like to live with an addiction. A film that should definitely be recommended and should recieve more attention. 2. Train to Busan Wow ... This was the most emotional horror movie and probably the best zombie movie I've ever seen. Never, during a horror movie, have I felt so many different emotions, such as anger and sadness. In addition, the acting performances are really outstanding. "Train to Busan" shows what people are capable of doing in such situations, both in a positive and a negative sense. 1. The Edge of Seventeen A funny telling coming-of-age story, but that still shows the life of a teenage in a realistic way. Although it's been a few years for me, i still could identify with some scenes, like those at the party and in the bathroom. And Hailee Steinfeld plays her role perfectly. This movie actually disappointed me though, the reviews are AMAZING which is not typical for an R-rated comedy, so I went into it expecting flawlessness. But there were actually plenty of flaws. No, it's 1 > 3 >> 2. But i agree with your soundtrack ranking. 16 hours ago, Monky_2405 said: Kehlan she deserved a top 10 spot, hoping that 2018 will truly be her year! Konril Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Sorry for the non-posting. Christmas holidays got me busy. Malibu love. Attention was good too. Lust of Love is cute but I prefer Love. What About Us is okay. LIYL is okay. I like Regaeton Lento. Scared To Be Lonely is cute as well as No promises. ...RFI is a major bop but reputa not so much. Symphony is one hella good song. ---------------------------------- I got tired of the Saw franchise and skipped Jigsaw. I skipped Murder because Depp was in there, he ruined Fantastic Beast for me. Emma Watson was not a good Belle, she couldn't even emote properly when Beasts was "dying" and I'm a major fan of Hermione! I was thoroughly entertained with Get Out but I think people overrate it. Definitely loved Train To Busan.
