Kevin2803 Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 (edited) Artists 35. Banks Banks wasn't able to hold her #26 position from last year, but she still made the list. She released the music video to "Trainwreck" this year, which helped the song to chart on #8. Banks also released two new singles, "Crowded Places" and "Underdog", which peaked at #2 and #34. With her third album "Memoirs of the Fallen Ones" coming next year, i'm sure she will climb up the charts again in 2018. 34. Nashville Cast "Nashville" lost a big character this year, but i can't really say that i miss this person. The show is still good and the music is also great. There were a few songs and soundtracks that charted this year. The most successful was probably "Saved" by Lennon Stella, which peaked at #17 and spent three weeks on the charts. Next year, the last season will start and it will probably also be their last year on the artist charts. If they make it again. 33. Hailee Steinfeld Hailee is really fascinating. She is an acclaimed actress, but also successful as a pop singer. Not many people are successful in both. But Hailee releases one bop after another. She has yet to release an album, but if she's doing more songs like "Starving", "Most Girls" or "Let Me Go", it will be worth the wait. 32. Aura I saw her live this year and she was amazing. Sadly, her album "Can't Steal the Music" flopped and she announced that this would be her last pop album, which is a shame. "Love Somebody", "Indian Giver", "Gay Boy" or the title track were such bops and they deserved to smash. 31. Wincent Weiss I have a crush on Wincent since he was on "German Idol" and i'm so glad that he got successful after the show. Almost no one has a career after that show and he didn't even made the top 10 back then. Now, he's one of the most successful german newcomers and he deserves it. He has a nice voice, great songs and well, just look at him. Albums 70. Sabrina Claudio - About Time "Unravel Me" always gets me in a really special mood and her album "About Time" is full of songs like this. She debuted at #5 and spent three weeks on the top 10 so far. But i'm sure there is more to come for Sabrina and her music. 69. Various Artists - Atomic Blonde (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) What a great movie! I watched it twice already and that scene with Kaleida's "99 Luftballons" in it is just amazing, but also so sad and unfair. The soundtrack also consists of "Major Tom", which is a fun song that i know since my childhood and gives me a nostalgic feeling. The album peaked at #2 and spend two weeks on my charts. 68. Nashville Cast - The Music Of Nashville Original Soundtrack Season 5 Volume 3 Not only does "Nashville" always deliver some good TV drama, but also some great songs. The third soundtrack of the fifth season includes bops like "Water Rising" or "Beautiful Dream" and i can't wait for their final music in the sixth season. The album debuted at #3, but only stayed on the charts for one week. 67. Maroon 5 - Red Pill Blues Maroon 5 is a band where i sometimes forget that they exist, even if they release one bop after another. "Cold", "What Lovers Do" or "Don't Wanna Know" are just a few songs they put on their new album, which debuted at #3 and spent two weeks on the top 10 so far. 66. Måns Zelmerlöw - Chameleon It's the highest charting album on this list that didn't chart on the weekly charts. But to be fair, it was released in December 2016 and my weekly charts started later in 2017 again. "Hanging On To Nothing" is a cute single and i probably don't have to tell you about how cute Mans is himself. 65. LÉON - Surround Me - EP LÈON is an artist i follow for quite some time now, but i never fully got into her music. But this EP was amazing. I love "No Goodbyes" and "Surround Me" grew on me A LOT, after it was played on "Grey's Anatomy". It spent two weeks on my charts at peaked at #5. 64. Alma - Ma peau aime I always said that i don't like music where i can't understand the lyrics, but this year, i got into spanish and also french music. And Alma was ROBBED on the Eurovision Song Contest. She deserved to be much higher and her album "Ma peau aime" was also great. She made it all the way up to #2 on the top 10 and spent two weeks on the charts. 63. Tove Lo - Blue Lips I love Tove Lo, but "Blue Lips" didn't fully convince me yet. But i also didn't like "Disco ****" that much in the beginning and it grew on me a lot. I would still say it's her weakest album yet, but i will give it a couple more listens. So far, it spend two weeks on #4. 62. Alice Merton - No Roots - EP I also saw Alice live this year and she was so amazing. "No Roots" is a great song and i love that it also gets some attention in the US, but the EP also has some other good songs, like "Jealousy". And i can't wait until she releases the other songs she sang live. The EP debuted at #8 and stayed there for one week. 61. Madeline Juno - DNA Madeline Juno is still waiting for her big breakthrough, which is sad, because she has a nice voice. She proved it again on her latest album and songs like "Gift" or the amazing acoustic version of "Waldbrand", her best song to date. The album peaked at #2 and also spent two weeks within the top 10. Singles 70. Kygo & Selena Gomez - It Ain't Me Selena never had the strongest voice, but she knows how to use it to make good pop songs and that's more important, in my opinion. "It Ain't Me" was probably one of the biggest dance hits of the year and had of the best drops in a dance song. It was a top 5 hit on my top 40 countdown and stayed there for six weeks. 69. Kesha - Praying Kesha dropped the dollar sign and finally let her voice shine on her comeback single "Praying", which got her a grammy nomination. And she deserves every bit of her success. "Praying" spent six weeks on the Top 40 and peaked at #5. 68. Tinashe - Company "Company" is one of the songs that made the list again this year and it shouldn't come as a surprise. It's one of the best singles Tinashe ever released and also had a simple, but amazing music video, where she showcases her incredible dance moves. The song peaked at #1 obviously and was on the charts for ten weeks. 67. Billie Eilish - bellyache Billie Eilish is one of the most promising new artists of the year and i bet we will hear some great things from her in the future. Even tho it's weird to listen to a 15-year-old girl singing about being a serial killer, it's also so much fun. "bellyache" reached number #7 on the top 40 and was on the charts for seven weeks. 66. Hailee Steinfeld, Alesso, Florida Georgia Line & watt - Let Me Go All these names sound like a weird combination at first, but i really works. Hailee's and Florida Georgia Line's voices compliment each other well and the result is a fun dance track. The song spent eight weeks on the charts so far and peaked at #2. 65. Pitbull, J Balvin & Camila Cabello - Hey Ma Camila is one of THE breakthrough artists of the year and i'm so happy for her, especially after everyone hated on her so much. Before she released her solo smash hits, she hopped on this spanish bop with Pitbull and J Balvin and spent six weeks with them in the top 40, peaking at #4. 64. Major Lazer, Travis Scott, Camila Cabello & Quavo - Know No Better And here is another bop with Camila on it. Major Lazer is always good for a cute dance track and this one was amazing. It spent a total of nine weeks on the charts, peaking at #3 and giving Camila another top 5 hit. 63. Katy Perry & Skip Marley - Chained to the Rhythm This year wasn't easy for Katy Perry. Everyone made fun out of her and her album "Witness" sold less than expected. But it started all so good with nice pop track, which had an important message and was also really catchy. And even the rap part was kinda good and i'm usually not the biggest fan of rap features. It debuted at #1 and spent nine weeks within the top 40. 62. Allie X & VÉRITÉ - Casanova I'm in love with Allie's latest album "CollXtion II" and this one is one of the standout tracks, so i was really excited about this being released as a single. I'm not really familiar with the music of VÉRITÈ, but she sounds good on the song and it just really is a ****ing bop. It peaked at #2 and spend four weeks on the charts, but it's still charting at the moment. 61. Jessie Ware - Midnight I always liked Jessie's voice and some her songs, but she never slayed me like she does with this era. This was the first taste of her latest album "Glasshouse" and it really is a nice song, but there followed so many better songs after this one. "Midnight" reached number #8 on the top 40 and stayed on the charts for eight weeks. Replies Spoiler On 19.12.2017 at 11:40 AM, Monky_2405 said: Ok, I'm officially going to love your full list! Bubble Tea Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Praying, Company and Chained to the Rhythm are easily some of the year's best songs. Facts only!
Konril Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 Awww. At Foxes. I remembered when Let Go For Tonight slayed me. I haven't gotten to Dev's new music but Lightspeed and Booty Bounce were my faves from her. Wolves, Fetish and The Cure though. Praying too.

Kevin2803 Posted December 21, 2017 Author Posted December 21, 2017 (edited) Artists 30. Julia Michaels The first time i noticed Julia was on "Trade Hearts", her duet with Jason Derulo. It's one of his best songs and of course, it's mostly because of her. Her voice is really special and i was really excited to hear her solo music and "Nervous System" didn't disappoint. It's a great mini album full of bops. 29. JoJo JoJo didn't release new music in 2017, but "Mad Love" was released in October 2016 and she has one of the best voices in this business, so of course i listened to her music in 2017. Probably one of my favorite singers and i can't wait to get a new album. I hope we don't have to wait over ten years again. 28. Astrid S Here we have a pop singer from Norway who blew up on my charts this year. She already had a cute top 10 with "Hurts So Good" in 2016, but this year, she released her EP "Party's Over" and charted with five singles on my top 40, like "Such a Boy" and "Breathe". 27. Lorde It's the first time for Lorde on my artist charts, because i wasn't a big fan of her in the beginning, but she SNAPPED on "Melodrama". One of the strongest albums of the year. She also released one of the best remixes of the year with "Homemade Dynamite (Remix)". I know, a lot of people will disagree, but i just love that version. 26. Yvonne Catterfeld I went to a concert of Yvonne this year with one of my best friends and it was my first real concert, so she has a really special place in my music heart. She is so damn talented and her latest album "Guten Morgen Freiheit" (Good Morning Freedom) was really good. Albums 60. Charlotte OC - Careless People I heard "Where It Stays" on "Grey's Anatomy", i think and i fell in love with the song and her voice. The album also has some other good tracks and i still like to listen to them here and then. "Careless People" was on the top 10 for only one week, but peaked at #3. 59. Anastacia - Evolution "Evolution" is probably the most disappointing #1 album on this list. "Caught in the Middle" was a great lead-single and her voice is obviously incredible, but the rest of the album was kinda meh. It wasn't that bad, but all the songs just sounded really basic and boring. It fell of the charts completely after one week at the top. 58. Gabrielle Aplin - Avalon - EP I always loved her voice, but i wasn't a big fan of her last album. But "Waking Up Slow" was THAT Bop and the rest of the EP also sounded really nice. She spent two weeks on the top 10 with the highest position being #6. 57. Kat Graham - Love Music Funk Magic "Put Your Graffiti On Me" is one of my all-time favorite songs, but Kat never managed to get even close to this pop masterpiece with her newer music. She still has some good songs, but this was her weakest album so far. It still peaked at #3 and spent two weeks on the charts. 56. Various Artists - Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert, Vol. 4 "Sing meinen Song" (Sing my Song) is a show where national music artists sing each other songs in new versions. This season, Lena participated and rearranged some songs into some really nice versions, like "Durch die Nacht" (Through the Night) or "Du liebst mich nicht" (You don't love me). Stefanie also had some nice songs on this album. It peaked at #3 for one week. 55. Madeline Juno - Waldbrand EP It's Madeline again! "Waldbrand" is her strongest song to date and even peaked at #1. The EP consist of some other nice songs, but "Waldbrand" is basically the only reason why this EP climbed into the top 5 of the charts and spent five weeks in the top 10. 54. Lights - Skin&Earth Lights always delivers some bops, especially with this album. "Giants" was a great lead single, which peaked at #11 on the charts and will even return this week. But the album also had some other great tracks. It debuted at #4, but only spent one week on the charts so far. 53. Jasmine Thompson - Wonderland EP Jasmine has a magical voice and already released some great music for her young age. "Old Friends" was an amazing lead-single for this EP, especially the Jonas Blue Remix. But "Words" is THAT bop and deserved to be released as a single as well. The EP climbed to #4 and spent two weeks on the charts. 52. Charli XCX - Number 1 Angel Charli's mixtape is really beloved by a lot of ATRLers, but i always thought it was a little bit overrated. It still has some great songs tho. "ILY2" is amazing and is also really like "3 AM (Pull Up)". The mixtape only spent one week on the top 10 also also only peaked at #9. Her new mixtape will probably do better. 51. The Chainsmokers - Memories...Do Not Open The Chainsmokers smashed the charts this year and released one hit after another. I still didn't expect much from their album tho, except maybe for some nice little dance tracks and that's exactly what we got. The album debuted at #2, but was out of the the top 10 after only one week. Singles 60. Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me Demi really shined this year. She finally got another Billboard Top 10 hit and she also released her probably best album to date. On the title track, Demi showcases her amazing voice and proves that she's one of the best singers of this generation. The song peaked at #13 and spent eleven weeks on the charts by the end of the tracking period, but it reached number #10 after the video was released in december. 59. Hailee Steinfeld - Most Girls I wasn't a big fan of this song in the beginning, but it grew on me a lot. It's a little basic and the beat drop should hit a little harder, but it's still a fun and empowering track that reached #4 on the top 40 and spent eleven weeks on the charts. It's also Hailee's most successful single of the year. 58. Katy Perry & Nicki Minaj - Swish Swish "Swish Swish" is a fun track and the lyric video with GIF Queen Gretchen is already iconic, but she has much stronger songs on the album. It's still a catchy song and Nicki's verse slayed. The song spent eight weeks on the top 40 and peaked at #3, making it the only "Witness" single that didn't chart at number #1. 57. Nadine Coyle - Go To Work This song slayed me out of nowhere. While Cheryl is occupied with jumping on Liam's D and making Babies, her ex-band-member Nadine Coyle released this dance bop and slayed my charts. She climbed all the way up to #2 and stayed on the charts for seven weeks so far. 56. Sean Paul & Dua Lipa - No Lie The song was technically released in 2016, but there were some remixes released in December. The Song is catchy as hell, but let's be real, the only reason this song did so well on my charts is the new main pop girl Dua Lipa, who makes every song ten times better. "No Lie" spent six weeks in the top 40 in 2017 and peaked at #5. 55. Zara Larsson - I Would Like Another song that was released in 2016, but also slayed in 2017. It's sad that this song wasn't treated like a real single and didn't even got a music video. It slayed the UK charts and also did better than "So Good" in other countries. The infectious dance track, that samples "Dat Sexy Body", peaked at #3 on my top 40 countdown and ended it's chartrun after nine weeks. 54. Helene Fischer - Herzbeben I never thought i would like a song by Helene Fischer that much, but "Achterbahn" and this song really slayed me in 2017. It even peaked at #1 after the Remix EP was released and spent eleven weeks within the top 40. 53. Lorde - Sober "Green Light" was a good lead single and the "Homemade Dynamite" remix was great, but this promotional single is the real highlight of "Melodrama". "Sober" is a mysterious and dark dance track that deserves to be the next single. It climbed to number #5 and was on the charts for seven weeks. 52. Eden Prince & Cassie - Obvious I have no idea who Eden Prince is but he released this delicious dance track with Cassie, who had a little comeback this year. She sounds sexy as hell over this amazing beat. The song spent a total of ten weeks on the top 40, peaking at #2. 51. Madeline Juno - Waldbrand I got a little late into this song. By the time it went number #1 on my charts, it was already released for some months. But i'm glad i gave this song another chance, because it slays and it's one of the best german songs released this year. It also made me excited to hear more from Madeline. "Waldbrand" spent five weeks on the top 40. Replies Spoiler On 20.12.2017 at 4:49 PM, prézli said: WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. I love her. Geronimo is my ultimate bop. Kevin2803 Posted December 22, 2017 Author Posted December 22, 2017 (edited) Artists 25. Lady GaGa 2017 was a good year for Lady GaGa. She slayed the Super Bowl, released her best single in years and also had a successful Netflix documentary. But also "Joanne" and her singles "Million Reasons" and "John Wayne" were great and she returns to the artist charts after being absent for three years. 24. Kesha It was the comeback of the year. After going through hell and back, singer Kesha was finally able to release her amazing third album "Rainbow" and was praised by fans and critics. Her single "Praying" went platinum, the album gold and she got nominated for two Grammys. She returns one place down from her previous position #23 in 2013. 23. Fergie Another artist who had her comeback this year. Sadly, it wasn't that successful. Fergie returned to the music business with her second album "Double Dutchess", the follow-up to the "The Dutchess", which was released eleven years ago. Musically and visually it was a strong comeback, but the GP just wasn't here for it. 22. Lea Michele Lea released her follow-up to "Louder" this year and vocally, it was incredible. I still prefer "Louder" a bit, but "Places" also has some amazing songs, like "Run To You" or "Heavenly". Sadly, her tv career is doing so good. The iconic show "Scream Queens" was cancelled after a lame second season and her new show "The Mayor" has barely three million viewers. So, maybe she should stick to music full time. 21. Tove Lo Some artists struggle to even get one album released, but Tove drops one album after another. Last year, she released her great "Lady Wood" album and "Blue Lips" followed this year. "Disco ****" was an interesting choice as a lead single and needed some time to grow on me, but now, i really like it. I think, it will be the same with the album. She's up from her #32 position last year. Albums 50. Various Artists - Fast & Furious 8: The Album I never watched one of those movies, but the soundtrack was kinda cute. "Hey Ma" placed #65 on my year-end countdown and i also liked "Good Life" by G-Eazy and Kehlani. These songs were enough to get this soundtrack to #3 on the weekly countdown, where it spent two weeks. 49. Sweet California - 3 This spanish girl group always delivers some cute bops and with the change of a band member, you could almost say they are the spanish version of the Sugababes. "3" didn't make the weekly charts, because it was released in December 2016, but it peaked at #9 on the monthly countdown. 48. Miley Cyrus - Younger Now Miley's new album did disappoint me a little bit at first, but here and then, a song from this album comes on and i start to really like it, so maybe i will get into it after all. It's definitely better than everything from this Dead Petz era. I always pretend that this era didn't exist. "Younger Now" debuted at #2, but left the charts after one week. 47. Lana Del Rey - Lust for Life I like some Lana songs, but i never liked her on album length. Everything just sounds so similar, depressing and boring, but this album is probably the best since her first album. I LOVE "Lust for Life" (song) and "Love" was also kinda cute. The album even made it to #1 and spent four weeks within the top 10. 46. Lauren Alaina - Road Less Traveled Another former "American Idol" contestant made the list. Lauren Alaina released her second album this year and it was quite good, especially the title track, which peaked within my top 10. The album climbed to #7 and was on the charts for two weeks. 45. Pitbull - Climate Change "Climate Change" was Pitbull's first decent album in quite a while. It has some nice collaborations with Kiesza, Jennifer Lopez or Leona Lewis and debuted on #4 on the top 10. It was out of the charts after one week tho. 44. J Sutta - I Say Yes Former Pussycat Dolls member J Sutta was finally able to release her debut album and it consists of quite a few bops. My personal favorites are probably "Forever", "Universe" and the title track "I Say Yes". The album peaked at #2 and spent two weeks in the top 10. 43. Helene Fischer - Helene Fischer Schlager singer Helene Fischer made the list again. Her self-titled album is the first album of her, i listened to from start to finish and it wasn't bad. Songs like "Herzbeben" or "Achterbahn" are bops and more like german pop than Schlager. The album spent three weeks within the charts and peaked at #1. 42. Una Healy - The Waiting Game The prettiest member of "The Saturdays" released her first solo album this year and i kinda liked it. It's very different from the stuff she released with the band, but she sounds really good and her duet with Sam Palladio was so beautiful. The album spent only one week within the top 10, but peaked at #4. 41. Shakira - El Dorado Latin Queen Shakira released her new album in 2017 and i wouldn't say it's her best album to date, but it has some good songs, especially the bop "Chantaje", obviously. "Me Enamoré" was also a cute single and peaked at #12 on the top 40. The album reached #2 on the album charts and ended it's chartrun after two weeks. Singles 50. Ed Sheeran - Castle on the Hill The male Taylor Swift came out of nowhere with his dual release of "Shape Of You" and this song which both became massive hits for him. I prefer "Shape Of You", but "Castle on the Hill" is also a nice song. I especially like the Throttle remix. The song peaked at #6 and spent six weeks on the top 40. 49. Olivia Holt - Generous Her first EP was cute, but is nothing compared to this slayage. "Generous" is a ****ing BOP and i never realized how absolutely gorgeous she is until i saw the music video. This deserved to smash. It did, but only on my charts. It went to #1 and spent six weeks on the top 40, so far. 48. Starley - Call On Me One of the best dance tracks of the year. The Ryan Riback remix of this song slays, but also her other two singles were kinda nice. Sadly, it seems like she will become a one hit wonder. The song peaked at #3 and stayed within the top 40 for eight weeks. 47. Dua Lipa - Thinking 'Bout You To be honest, when i heard this song for the first time, i was kinda disappointed. She sounds great, but it felt a little boring. But then i listened to the Decco remix and i suddenly was wigless. Another Bop from Queen Dua. The song peaked at #2 and spent eight weeks on the charts. 46. Liam Payne & Quavo - Strip That Down The song is a little basic, but it's also a bop that really and who doesn't want Liam to strip down? He was always the hottest member of One Direction. Cheryl is one lucky woman. The song stayed on the charts for nine weeks and peaked at #4. 45. Hey Violet - Hoodie "Hoodie" is just so damn catchy. You just can't get it out of your head. And i literally couldn't for ten weeks. That's how long it was in my charts. It peaked at #3. 44. Kelly Clarkson - Love So Soft The lead single of Kelly's amazing album "Meaning of Life". It's not the best song on the album, but i can see why it was the first single. "Love So Soft" is catchy, sassy and a bop. The song peaked at #4 and spent nine weeks within my top 40. 43. Madison Beer - Dead "You said you can't live without me, so why aren't you dead yet?" With this potential instagram caption, Madison released one of the most surprising pop songs of the year. I almost forget about her and then she just slayed me two times in a row. "Dead" spent a total of twelve weeks on my charts and peaked at #4. 42. Selena Gomez - Bad Liar This was a bold choice for a single, because it was so different for Selena, but it paid off. It wasn't her biggest hit, but people take her more seriously as an artist now and that's also great. And the chorus is ****ing catchy. The song climbed to #2 and stayed on the charts for eight weeks. 41. Wale, Major Lazer, WizKid & Dua Lipa - My Love Such a fun and catchy song that just makes you feel good. But it probably wouldn't have charted so high without pop queen Dua Lipa, obviously. The song peaked at number #6 and spent seven weeks on the top 40.
