No one ever said it would've been the strongest #1 in history. Spending 6 weeks at #2 (and soon 7) behind a song that'll become one of the biggest hits in history should tell you that WT was deserving of a #1, it really isn't that hard to understand. This The people you just quoted are the same ones that have been hating on WT during its entire run so don't bother

So Sheeran charted on each genre making up the Pop Quadrant, hit Urban AC, and AAA. I'm pretty sure he had a remix that charted on Dance/Mix-Show Chart. On how many charts has WT charted? I'm done with this conversation though. I have better things to do on my birthday morning than go back and forth about WT and TOL. Clearly TOL was the stronger #2 song, hands down. FentyxTesfaye
Why are you guys comparing the sales of a song that has been discounted for god knows how long to one that's newly discounted? Also, regarding its sales, the sales climate isn't the greatest but common sense isn't so common on here. you would also think a song that has spent practically the whole summer at #1 would be at more than just 2 million in the US but that's certainly not the case, now is it? Says a lot about the sales climate. Edited August 22, 2017 by FentyxTesfaye
