Either way, Gotye ultimately created something that sounds & is unique, whereas Doechii just slapped her voice over a pre-constructed song that everyone knows, and made an inferior version. At a time where people are already sick of lazy nostalgia-bait samples (see the negative reactions to Twinkle Twinkle Little *****, Not Your Barbie Girl, etc.)

I don't actually hate any of these songs. They're just "meh" to me.

 

Anxiety is maybe my least favorite because of the tiktok choreo associated with it, not because of the song itself.

I think that's the difference. I don't hate Anxiety but she took the instrumental of just one song (let alone one that's already mega popular in the last decade and not unknown) so the "unoriginality" is just more blatant. Creativity is taking multiple things and making something new out of it. Like mixing genres or whatever.
