vuelve88 Posted Monday at 01:12 AM Posted Monday at 01:12 AM She's really trying hard to get Janet's attention 1
Alongoria13 Posted Monday at 01:47 AM Posted Monday at 01:47 AM It's just a title, that shouldn't bother anyone, The timeline though, loud and wrong which is what's normal anyways. Glad she is over x
ToMmY Posted Monday at 01:58 AM Posted Monday at 01:58 AM We know why she thinks that and it's something easy to find in this forum too. 1
nikevo2925 Posted Monday at 03:06 AM Posted Monday at 03:06 AM If Janet did that Copacabana thing in Brazil, not even 10 people would show up. Meanwhile 2 million people showed up for Madonna. So suck it Lizzo. 1
Santhosh Posted Monday at 03:21 AM Posted Monday at 03:21 AM Madonna is the Queen of pop and always will be 2
MonsterNavy Posted Monday at 03:24 AM Posted Monday at 03:24 AM Janet is also the queen of pop, yes 1 1
HardBambi Posted Monday at 04:22 AM Posted Monday at 04:22 AM She is entitled to her wrong opinion about who's the queen of pop but calling Britney a Janet impersonator is offensive. Bob and Monet agreeing with that is dumb too 1
Luckitty Posted Monday at 05:57 AM Posted Monday at 05:57 AM I don't care about this "queen of pop" argument but isn't madonna a lot older than janet? did lizzo mistake janet with diana ross or something?
808dream Posted Monday at 06:05 AM Posted Monday at 06:05 AM However you feel about Madonna her impact on pop culture and music is massive, that's undeniable. 1
JoeAg Posted Monday at 06:19 AM Posted Monday at 06:19 AM I mean okay listen if I'm gonna be honest IN MY OPINION Madonna doesn't have a singular album that's better than The Velvet Rope, but imo they occupy equally important spaces in pop history. Madonna is well known to be the queen of pop, but I'd argue that Janet or Gaga or Rihanna or Mariah or Beyoncé or Taylor could also be the queen of pop. Kylie or Kesha or Britney could be princess of pop. Janet is an absolute legend and a titan of pop herself, idk how exactly I'd classify her in terms of honorific music titles if I were to say something other than being one of the queens of pop. she's so special and has been underappreciated for FAR too long! I don't like the thing Lizzo said about Britney "doing a Janet impression," cause no, she's doing her own thing, though one can say that she was clearly inspired by Janet. also she's incorrect and there WERE pop divas before both Madonna and Janet. there was Cher, there was Diana Ross, there was Donna Summer, there was Debbie Harry, there was Tina Turner... hell, even Pat Benatar was smashing before Madonna debuted. so I don't like some of the things Lizzo said but I won't deny that Janet could 100% be the queen of pop. she's definitely one of them, at the least 2 1 1 5
allforyou Posted Monday at 07:38 AM Posted Monday at 07:38 AM (edited) This is so dumb on so many levels 1) - When Janet became a child actress Madonna was already 19 years old so she was not watching her on TV 2) - Britney is not a Janet impersonator, sure Janet is one of her main influences but so is Madonna 3) - By the time Janet became a star with Control Madonna was already a well established pop singer with 2 hit albums under her belt 4) - I think her saying there were no pop divas before Janet is the most ignorant thing in this clip, so we're just gonna pretend that Diana Ross, Cher, Olivia Newton-John, Donna Summer, Barbra Streisand (and so many others), didn't exist? I'm a Janet stan and I love when people give her her flowers but it shouldn't be at the cost of trying to discredit other artists like Madonna Edited Monday at 07:39 AM by allforyou 8 4
Calvin Posted Monday at 07:47 AM Posted Monday at 07:47 AM Does anyone even listen to Janet's discography these days? Her catalogue is extremely forgotten. 3
Doogle Posted Monday at 07:53 AM Posted Monday at 07:53 AM Both infinitely more talented and iconic than this has been loser 1 1

cuteboyzay Posted Monday at 08:21 AM Posted Monday at 08:21 AM Did her brain cells go on a diet too, cause wtf!? Janet is one of the most impactful Pop Stars of ALL TIME, and definitely the blueprint alongside Madonna. No matter what. But to call her the Queen Of Pop is wild. To ignore what Madonna has done and was not only bigger globally for a longer time, but also I feel she pushed the needle just a LITTLE more on a broader scale is ridiculous. Madonna without a doubt is the first bonafide SUPERSTAR of Pop alongside Michael and was basically peerless commercially and culturally for yearrsss. Janet is one of the firsts too, but Madonna in terms of Pop is the queen of Pop. While Janet would be more so the Queen of RnB/Pop.
PerfectCure Posted Monday at 08:23 AM Posted Monday at 08:23 AM She may not be entirely right about it, but some of you are seriously acting like she said Rita Ora instead of Janet.

I love Bedtime Stories and Erotica is prob my fav Madonna album but I still personally stand by what I said 1
discosean Posted Monday at 08:40 AM Posted Monday at 08:40 AM I can't say how I really feel about Lizzo without certain people feeling some type of way.

I assume you will all be just as angry at Lily, Charli, Lance, and Dua as you are at Lizzo. And where do All these people put another female down, just to claim someone is The Queen? That is the difference here, sis 2
B-Luke Posted Monday at 12:47 PM Posted Monday at 12:47 PM Not her hopping on Janet dick by any means necessary. Is she trying to play her in biopic or something?
