That Azizam song has the kind of vanilla genericness to it that Shape of You had so I was scared for a bit that it was going to be everywhere this spring/summer and potentially suicide inducing.

But so far that might not happen, good things do happen sometimes :jonny:

this song is not that bad, though

Yes. His last hit single was payola-ed to the high heavens to get it to catch on but don't see that working for him anymore. He has no fanbase and relies on the GP. He's one of those artists that explodes with crazy commercial success because he appeals to everyone but that's short-lived with no loyal fanbase to support you once the GP moves on to their next generic fave. He never established a young, loyal fanbase like other pop boys like Bieber, Harry Styles or The Weeknd.

Yes, sometime between 2021 and 2023, the public had completely lost interest.

Uh, yeah...duh.

I think he's a hack. He's been involved in so many plagiarism scandals and he's settled many of them. He probably doesn't have the real talent to sustain a long career

After listening to his new single I realised it's such a shame that he can't even make a catchy hit anymore (the only thing he was good at in the first place)

yes and no. his peak is over but i think with the right song at the right time, the ppl will give him another hit.

Nope he's not, once he stops getting hits its over. He has no fanbase. His sound is more versatile compared to Ed so he's still getting hits.

Well it was about time. His music all sounds the same, and he doesn't do much to reinvent himself. Well most male artists barely do but still stick around longer than female artists on the same wavelength, but he could only do that for so long before people got sick of it.
another main thing is that he doesn't have a big fanbase and his success was mostly gp driven, so they just moved on after a while.

Well Azizam sounds like mediocre Eurovision entry.

That means ATRL will love it because ATRL loves those mediocre Eurovision songs  :dies:
