Kinda unnecessary from Lizzo since Britney never denied that Janet is a big inspiration for her career. You can actually recognize way more from Janet than Madonna on Britney, and that should be seeing not as a bad thing, but a great thing for Janet.
But I think Lizzo is a big Janet's STAN, and, you know, just like every stan, we tend to be more defensive and sassy when people are talking about our idols, specially when they are comparing her to other artist, as if they could replace our idol for the new one, you know? Happens every day on ATRL. 
Maybe Lizzo felt like Britney was taking Janet's place and never liked Britney for this reason, FOR EXEMPLE.
