MasterExpose Posted Sunday at 03:48 PM Posted Sunday at 03:48 PM Judging by these numbers waiting too long to release this project feels to be the wrong move

I know but saying it sounds like anyone could sing this doesn't make sense when no mainstream artist is making music like something beautiful and eotw…plus the popular opinion on here is that the song is good and mind you flowers is the one of her worst songs ever yet…

vipanonymous Posted Sunday at 04:06 PM Posted Sunday at 04:06 PM It feels very nostalgic but like I said it's not a instant smash. Hopefully it's a sleeper hit. 1
Freakshowvato Posted Sunday at 04:14 PM Posted Sunday at 04:14 PM The Something Beautiful and Prelude streams were a sign. But Miley in her HOLYFVCK era with a pop banger?!?!
smilervoticat Posted Sunday at 04:14 PM Posted Sunday at 04:14 PM Idk if it's just me but it always seems like stan twitter has much higher expectations for Miley than the other pop girlies like EOTW is by far one of the most standout lead singles in a while and yet it's being compared to the likes of…Woman's World?! 7

Brikenbur Posted Sunday at 04:21 PM Posted Sunday at 04:21 PM The visuals, the aesthetic, the voice, are all there….
hotfire2012 Posted Sunday at 04:22 PM Posted Sunday at 04:22 PM Listened for the first time and let me say it's very radio friendly...
FlyOnTheWall Posted Sunday at 04:31 PM Posted Sunday at 04:31 PM This absolute unprecedented level of BOMBERY ijbol Predicted for a top 80 debut on the H100, mind you Malibu would've debited in the top 5 if it had a full week a tracking. We're about to outperform Younger Now's 45k in terms of absolute insane tankery good f*cking GOD and this is absolutely on her and not capitalizing on flowers, her grammy wins, the demand for a tour/live performances and basically replacing her fans with her yaaaas-men gays 9
smilervoticat Posted Sunday at 05:01 PM Posted Sunday at 05:01 PM The way all her lead singles since Party in the USA (Can't Be Tamed, We Can't Stop bar the Thursday release, Malibu, Midnight Sky, Flowers) have not peaked but DEBUTED at least top 14. She might have flopped a lot but her lead singles have always done relatively well so to go from a #1 debut to struggling for the top 80 is insane to me 1
brutal Posted Sunday at 05:22 PM Posted Sunday at 05:22 PM Not surprised at all by the floppery, this song was an obvious non-hit to me. It's not bad but just not interesting at all. 5
Richie Posted Sunday at 06:15 PM Posted Sunday at 06:15 PM Classic ATRL… even if the song is amazing y'all claim is bad because is not doing numbers. The song is great and it could very much be a slow burner. 11 1
19SLAYty9 Posted Sunday at 06:19 PM Posted Sunday at 06:19 PM She needs a controversial performance. Perform it on SNL with a backdrop of the stock market as well as pictures and images of Trump. End the performance by ripping up a photo of Trump. 1 12
Vegvisir Posted Sunday at 06:25 PM Posted Sunday at 06:25 PM Y'all said the saaaaame **** when Gaga dropped Disease and look at her/MAYHEM now. The best selling album of the year so far, one of the most critically acclaimed releases this year, viral moments all over the internet and a headline-grabbing SNL double duty stint. Sometimes great pop songs don't get the attention they deserve. This may be the case initially with EOTW for Miley, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a stellar track. The album appears to be a career highlight for her and I think there's still plenty of time for it to smash. Honestly ATRL is getting so repetitive, it's actually boring as f*ck to read this same exact stuff over and over. I'm finding myself checking in on this dumpster fire less and less. 1

The nerve to compare this Disney girl to Gaga, OPEN THE SCHOOLS! 3 3

pika Posted Sunday at 06:44 PM Posted Sunday at 06:44 PM Even though the song isn't as instant as Flowers, it's still top 20 material at worst. This situation falls more on marketing and the lack of it. Again, she's suffering from years of fanbase neglect (no touring now for 13 years, social media now fully ran by team) while also not doing anything fun to engage casuals to show her personality (no TikToks, no late night interviews). She's still a huge star, but with such a small fanbase, she fully relies on how well her latest topics syncs with the public. There's not much fans can do or say to change things. Beyond all of this, it kinda sucks how all 00s/10s girls besides Taylor enjoy being famous and commit to what it takes to keep it. 7
Leewallace18 Posted Sunday at 06:46 PM Posted Sunday at 06:46 PM It needed a better music video it would have helped it a lot. Its positioning on streaming have been weird, Columbia are really doing poorly with the majority of their artists at the moment and their campaigns Miley better get announcing a tour soon for a boost

It's not bad but just not interesting at all. IMO it's a great song but i agree with you - as a lead single, it's not that interesting. Also, i was disappointed with the visuals (and mind you she's promoting a visual album) and while i'm here what the **** is going on with her social media team lmao - she doesn't need to personally take care of it but it's nice to have a ""humanized"" profile (for a lack of better word). Everything her team is posting with those press release captions are terrible 1
josesuxx Posted Sunday at 07:12 PM Posted Sunday at 07:12 PM Who the **** cares if she bombs as long as the music is this good? She's not an independent artist on her first era or poor she's kinda making the best music of her career 7
smilervoticat Posted Sunday at 07:54 PM Posted Sunday at 07:54 PM The way Liam would love the version of Miley now where she spends all her time at home with her man and stays out the spotlight like it's speculation but part of why they divorced was her wanting to be on the road all the time during her festival tour and now…
rcksluke Posted Sunday at 07:58 PM Posted Sunday at 07:58 PM The fact there's no promotion lined up for this
wish Posted Sunday at 08:05 PM Posted Sunday at 08:05 PM Miley not posting on social media today... oh her team saw the meltdowns for sure
