Le Grande Posted Friday at 09:26 PM Posted Friday at 09:26 PM Surprisingly, I quite like this one, and the last time I enjoyed a song of hers was Slide Away (which is by far her best song anyway).
Europe Posted Friday at 09:29 PM Posted Friday at 09:29 PM You guys stress too much. She is 18 years into her career. So what if this doesn't become a hit? We will still get the album. 6

smilervoticat Posted Friday at 09:35 PM Posted Friday at 09:35 PM Just speculation but I think Flowers really turned a lot of the younger generation away from Miley which is why we're seeing the disconnect on social media and in her streams 1

seancarter Posted Friday at 09:48 PM Posted Friday at 09:48 PM Miley's last 4 lead singles have all debuted with over 1 million in the U.S Malibu - 1.2 million Midnight Sky - 1.1 million Flowers - 2.2 million Used To Be Young - 1.5 million End of the World is about to end that streak based on early numbers. 1

With the third person captions and limited fan interaction, they're trying to make her "unreachable" like her labelmates Adele, Harry, Beyoncé…but people loved Miley for her live performances and natural character. Idk how they don't see it but we're certainly witnessing the effects of no public appearances (excluding inaccessible fancy award shows)/not touring for 3 years Edited Friday at 09:50 PM by smilervoticat 6

It was huge with everyone
seancarter Posted Friday at 09:51 PM Posted Friday at 09:51 PM Spotify Charts are very weak right now.. 1.5 million will score u a number one on the US Chart... 1

It wasn't really popular with gen z anyway, older generations and children made it what it was. I occasionally come across TikToks with over a million likes saying how horrible Flowers is 😭
honestopinion Posted Friday at 10:00 PM Posted Friday at 10:00 PM She clearly said many times over 3 years, even in her Grammys video before her performance that "numbers don't define her" and are not important for her. Why should we care about charts instead of enjoying the music and appreciating the way it's. Miley just wants peace in her life and I'm thankful she keeps releasing new music and being experimental 4
americanlife Posted Friday at 10:03 PM Posted Friday at 10:03 PM Absolutely incredible song and I hope it becomes a smash but even if it doesn't that's okay. 1
youresotoxic Posted Friday at 10:03 PM Posted Friday at 10:03 PM this is EVERYTHING an instant classic 1

Not to mention her label is still investing a lot through the film, radio, and play listing. It's not like they expected it to flop with all the teasing they've done this year but after all this is only day 1… 3
wish Posted Friday at 10:16 PM Posted Friday at 10:16 PM US Apple Music - Pop #52 End of the World (+71) finally a cute update 12

Looks like this album is for fans and fans only, welcome back mature and high budget dead petz era! 1
Jglj Posted Friday at 10:22 PM Posted Friday at 10:22 PM It's a cute song, but note sure if I'm feeling it, feels more like it'd be an album track and not a single, idk, feels like it's missing something for me.

FlyOnTheWall Posted Friday at 10:46 PM Posted Friday at 10:46 PM (edited) While I wish her social media appearance would be a bit more fun and personal it's obvious she just does nawt want to invest any time into that and I can't really blame her. She obviously wants to be an artist and not an influencer, just sucks how nowadays the latter part seems almost more important than the first Like having to be a successful influencer to have higher chances of also being a successful musician seems almost dystopian level of capitalism to me but I digress lmao Edited Friday at 10:47 PM by FlyOnTheWall 4
honestopinion Posted Friday at 10:47 PM Posted Friday at 10:47 PM (edited) It looks like there is no "lead" single on the album, it's just a single from ACT 1. She just posted on YouTube all 3 first tracks together with ACT 1 name. She will have another single from ACT 2, probably next week the trailer will be out. Explains why Columbia didn't give any playlisting to something beautiful and didn't give her a good spot on TTH, cause there will be many "singles" from each act Edited Friday at 10:49 PM by honestopinion
RoseBud Posted Friday at 11:16 PM Posted Friday at 11:16 PM the song has a mushy background production that I don't care for. Is white noise still a thing ?
magazine Posted Friday at 11:28 PM Posted Friday at 11:28 PM It's a cute lil song, but it lacks more chorus Momma is tired of ruling pop industry, I think. She's just having fun at this point. 1

It immediately went for ads. And it is on TTH and it has a playlist reach of 116 million. SB was just a teaster. EOTW is the single. Like can we just stop inventing these narratives. 2
