I really don't know what's different this time like Midnight Sky was able to pull much better numbers on YouTube and Apple Music by this time. Even Mother's Daughter and Slide Away debuted on Apple Music by this time it's like nobody knows she released…

Okay so after a few listens I'm confident she butchered what could have been an incredibly beautiful ballad on the album and it turned it into a poorly mixed Coldplay song. I'll die on this hill, the live version is far superior. 

 

I'll still give her a few streams because the lyrics are great regardless. I desperately hope she puts out the acoustic/instrumental etc on Spotify

let's all be honest... the fans have a big part to play in why FLOWERS blew up.. all the fake narratives they created helped the song go viral numerous times on twitter and tik tok which allowed the song to keep building... every release after Flowers underperformed. River underperformed despite being #1 on TTH. UTBY managed to scrape a top 10 debut to the nostalgic effect.  The album sold 119k which is impressive compared to Plastic Hearts but when comparing it to the massive success of Flowers it paled in comparison.. there are no signs that would tell ppl Miley's 'streaming' or selling prowess has grown cause clearly it hasn't. Miley could have easily done a big budget video for this song given the amount of money she saved during the ESV era. and if a visual album is just changing ur clothes and just giving glam shots... I don't know what to say.. Miley rested the entire ESV era and did well and she seems intent on doing the same thing this era. but lightning is not gonna strike twice by resting on your laurels . I need Plastic Hearts era Miley to return and promote like crazy.. even Ed Sheeran is everywhere promoting his new song. do better MILEY . signed a SMILER and Miley fan that's not delusional.
