Im too stunned to speak right now. This song is the embodiment of pure musical bliss. An ABBA-inspired nostalgic pop perfection elevated to the highest extent with Miley's unique vocal touch. I mean that production alone clears almost everything released this day and age. The euphoric feelings when listening to this send chills all over my body in a way i haven't felt for a song in a long time.

Until i hear the rest of SB this is already SOTY for me. Such a beautiful beautiful song. Sonically this is everything i've wanted from her. I just KNOW she has it in her to deliver this excellence given her undisputable talent and versatility but to actually receive it is just :weeps:

STREAM END OF THE WORLD NOW BAGUETTES

yeah i'm gonna need the US milene stans to stream the SOTY through the TTH playlist so it can get a higher placement, which is what helped Flowers get to the top

Yes and I would cut the intro chorus too getting straight to the first verse. That for radio.

The impact of Spotify-curated playlists are a bit overrated on ATRL, but considering that we don't have social media on our side, a #16 placement on TTH don't really make things better.

I could be wrong, but the way the roll out for this album is being played out, something tells me that Columbia gave room for complete creative freedom, but that came at the cost of the marketing budget. Some of you need to severely adjust expectations.

Either way, my fave never dissapoints on lead single. I have listened to it 100 times by now. :heart2:

i REALLY hope this happens...

I heard this one as well, and it sounds like ESV… I love shes continuing a sound that works for her, I loved ESV. rose Colored Lenses shoulda been a single

ANYWAY… MILEY THIS SONG IS AMAZING, SO FEEL GOOD

#16 is more than fine, especially with the other main playlists having her at #1 or near to it. As NMF drops it next week, then maybe TTH will pick it up if it shows promise.

This should have Azizam's TTH position at the very least! Columbia when I catch you!

Not Ari and Milene getting sabotaged by their labels :deadbanana2:

Both songs have me super excited for her album

i'm a bit disappointed they don't seem to be investing more in the lead because it does feel like an easy hit to me and ESV was safe but really just built around Flowers, so I thought this could be a similar approach. like why did UTBY seemingly get better treatment than this amazing lead single ugh

Not Midnight Sky under her old label getting a higher placement than this lead single…not to mention River getting #1 and UTBY #2 😭

THIS!!!

It sucks bc Miley's fandom isn't that big to make it a hit and most people didn't even know she was releasing

The TTH position sucks, but Columbia is quick to react if they see promise. They flooded everything into Flowers after the first week and didn't let up for months.

The main issue (and it's already been said) is that she doesn't have enough fans to show promise in the early stages. There's no narrative to this release like Flowers, so the only selling point is the song being good enough that whoever does discover it will replay it.

Commercial appeal isn't her only focus given the title track, but this was obviously made to be a hit and they're most likely hesitant after Doctor and UTBY.

If this debuts around 3.5-5m and can hold in that range, I think they'll put more into it.
