ariesgroove Posted February 7 Posted February 7 i would say that HMHAS was definitely an evolution for billie, even tho it's within the soundscape she's brought us into, i wouldn't imagine a song like L'AMOUR DE MA VIE on WWAFA or BIRDS on HTE, i get what he means though when he said "something new" though, which is why CC won. 1

ChooseyLover Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Hate to say it but after watching Billie's live performance, I would be more hesitant than ever awarding her a GRAMMY again. She wasn't good. Charli and The Weeknd were just as bad if we're keeping it real. And it sucks because all three have released some great stuff over the years. Cowboy Carter might not be Beyoncé's best but I can't be too mad when the most talented and multifaceted artist won. 1 1 1 3

The Academy doesnt 'hire' people its a literal Academy of 13k people from ALL genres and all walks of life, from tons of different positions in the industry. I hate when people except that their faves are always going to win and get angry and suddenly feign ignorance on how these things work because they're mad at the winner.

Chartman Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Even if they made a definitive completely different album sometimes you just win nothing. There is only one AOTY award every year. Taylor has already 4, Billie 6-7 awards from the general field. Voters know this and want to honor someone else.
