Both of the projects are so different from the artists' past albums...like you can't put 'gold rush' or 'Lavender Haze' on TTPD nor can you put 'bad guy' or 'goodbye' on HMHAS.. qurl Posted February 7 Posted February 7 that's definitely not true about Billie's album …. taylor i can kind of understand , bc within TPPD there are songs that mirror plenty of others from her previous works , but in Taylor's case she's won enough times that it was justified giving this one to Bey (even if CC was least deserving of any of Bey's other AOTY noms [sans Sasha Fierce]) Bey, Billie, and Chappell were all deserving of AOTY , and it happened to go to Bey as a lifetime achievement award of sorts. i can see Billie winning her own one day. 3

Lol Taylor literally won (her 4th) exactly a year ago doing "the same love and breakup album like always"; Billie won 5 years ago and won several other Big 4 awards since then. They're doing just fine and already reinvent themselves plenty. They just happened to lose this year, which is fine. Just like Beyonce happened to lose all those other years, which is fine. They clearly picked a Bey stan voter for this interview, but I'm sure if Taylor or Billie had won they could just as easily find Stan's of them heralding them for pushing deeper into their already rich brands of work or whatever and denouncing Beyonce for putting out inauthentic work or whatever. That's no shade to any of the 3, just to say that these individual voter thoughts are basically pointless, extremely biased, and not worth more than a random atrler's opinions 1

Go back to lover and listen to random tracks from every release since then and they are somewhat interchangeable. Billie however… it's not as much of a stretch as Cowboy Carter was but to say that it's the same album she's released is definitely not accurate. I'm not mad that Beyoncé won an AOTY after being snubbed at least twice but this man clearly didn't bother to listen to HMHAS in full. 6 1
