I think it's going off what that random "insider" said on Analboards. However, if this is what they've seen before hand I guess it could just be them presuming? But it does also seem odd they'd use a random promo picture for what's going to be album reveal with the date on her website.

The more I look at the cover, the more I realize how interesting it is that she chose not to prioritize her own image upfront for the first time ever. There's this expectation to see Lady Gaga on the cover to reaffirm her status as a pop star, but instead, she's breaking away from that mold. It's a bold move and honestly I'm very excited to see if it pays off.

Yes, but even with BTW she had professional make up on, photoshopped streaks to make her hair look perfect, the shot was edited a lot to look good. This time around, everything feels much more raw, I wouldn't be surprised if the og picture was not altered sans a few filters to apply the black&white effect.
