The one that hit Puerto Rico in 2018 was exceptionally bad. The winter storms of 2021 were the deadliest disaster of the 2020s so far, and then there were the fires in Maui last year. People should of course be helping in all of these circumstances, but it's interesting that all these celebrities get involved for the disaster that hit Malibu. Celebrities can do whatever they want to and for many of them this IS their community. Where were all the country artists when those disasters hit? Why didnt they do a benefit concert for the people that support them? 1

She deserves to be called out for asking the middle class for money instead of opening her own full ass wallet, and she doesn't need you to lick her ass in the process. Most of the celebrities that live in those areas have donated tons of money already dummy. 6 1

It's just in bad taste to make it a stadium show in my opinion.

MusicLoverDude Posted Friday at 04:14 AM Posted Friday at 04:14 AM Some of the comments here are gross. There is NOTHING wrong with doing a benefit concert to help raise funds. People forget that there are MULTIPLE fires going on that affects people of ALL walks of life. The Eaton fire affected middle class/lower class people. Not to mention, the animals affected too. As someone else already stated, most people already performing live here in LA so yes, they are personally affected. Hell, they are going to end up doing MORE for victims than the government itself so that right there says a lot. And when you factor in that the president-elect and other officials DON'T want to send aid over here (and they also tried doing this in 2018 as well), yeah, a benefit concert is still a good thing for donating/fundraising. I'm glad they are coming together to do something! 2 4

Jay07 Posted Friday at 09:40 AM Posted Friday at 09:40 AM (edited) Not people here having an issue with the concept of charity. People truly are so miserable they will use a celebrity being selfless to spread hate. For what it's worth, the 1, 2, 3 million Gaga can and will give is nothing compared to the donations they can get from corporations and billionaires. The devastation is in the hundreds of billions. "Who doesn't Gaga pay it herself " Donating their time and influence to raise awareness is what gets the real help. Again, I can't believe I have to explain the concept of charity in this time of unfathomable, once in a generation devastation. Edited Friday at 09:55 AM by Jay07 2 3
