Imagine how low Gaga would have been without the collabs ! 1

It is based on performance on the hot 100 and top 200 for the first 25 years of this century. Just cos your fave is lower than you would like doesnt mean the list is a mess...

It's why Post and Morgan Wallen are so high despite being relative newcomers For that reason I assume Gaga wil surpass Katy on the next update - since the latter only gains points from Teenage Dream charting on the BB200 (and The Fame is charting similar if not higher every week) + Gaga will have DWAS & LG7 to rack up some extra points What next update ? in 2050 ? 1 1

Well done to Taylor and the other ladies who made the top 5, despite not having multiple no 1s in three decades.
Yes, AND Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago 2 hours ago, Cruel Summer said: I feel like this list may appear to lean towards singles (see Rihanna being #3) just because of how music consumption works these days. The strongest album artist in the industry today is still #1 as we can see, but seeing Eminem as "low" as #5 is a little surprising at face value. But then when you get into the sheer album equivalent units generated by the massive hits artists like Rihanna and Post have created, it makes a little more sense. Very impressive to see Rihanna so high by the way, with as long as it's been since she released. Taylor and Drake battle for a lot of chart records and Billboard/press attention these days, but I think it's reasonable to see Rihanna as the third major pillar defining the last two decades of popular music in purely commercial terms (when we get into cultural impact, of course, the whole thing becomes different, hence the other Billboard list about that). It just adds up all their points on the hot 100 and top 200 so it doesnt lean towards anything it just depends how well they fared.

Higher number with critics doesn't seem correct looking at AOTY and Metacritic but you do you with these "higher numbers" you speak of There are more awards than AOTY specifically and Beyoncé has more of pretty much all of them thus Billboards music critics and editors getting together to name her the best artist of the new millennium. As for metacritic Beyoncé post IASF beats taylor in that metric. Even the gift is higher than Taylor's latest album so yes numerically Beyoncé is more critically acclaimed unless acclaim is measured exclusively by AOTY awards. You know it's not but you will probably try to make that dumbass claim again The perfect analogy for their successes is Beyoncé being crowned the BEST and Taylor the most popular by billboard so for the third time like I said She is a bad singer dancer actor and performer but she WILL get her name written at the top of stats based lists! The swifties told me none of that **** mattered to them bc she is the best seller - corroborated by billboard so I don't get your fumes at me having a ki at her 2
