The music in that movie was literal ass, though. Very strange decision to have a movie like that be a musical for no reason and then not even have the songs be good.

There's two songs from Emilia that I've seen that have a chance to be nominated. Is her song the frontrunner of the two? I'm only asking because if both get nominated then maybe they can do a medley where Zoe performs her full song and then Selena performs like 30 seconds of her song. Idk if that's something the Oscars have done before, but maybe that would alleviate some of Selena's stress if it is shortened. I just would hate to see her not take the stage at all if the song she sings in the movie gets nominated. It's a big deal to perform at the Oscars.

Selena Gomez has always been cautious with performing. she will not sing a bar on the fly like her peers. It's not her talent. She knows it and has admit. The lack of Grammy nominations speak on it as well. 
 

 

It would be a big blow to her to get on a prestige stage (not the VMA or a fan voted award) and perform sub par .
