I said what I said. She's still everywhere all the time and constantly praised like she's the second coming of Christ and ppl, naturally, will root against someone whose pedestal is so high. I'm not saying I hate her, I don't, but the GP is clearly getting sick of her. This is my explanation of it, what's yours?

So if she is still everywhere all of the time despite not even having to do one tenth of the media she did when she was younger, what does that tell you? Because to me, that says she has naturally become an indelible part of the fabric of pop culture.

Tall Poppy Syndrome happens to all the legends and icons, especially the women, but Bey seems to get it the worst in this era.

How this woman triggers yall when she's only around when she's promoting her projects is beyond me.

She does her job and logs off. You don't see her hanging at every NFL game. Y'all should do the same

I think its bottled up frustration that she's STILL there after almost 30 years of continous success. There's literally no other reasoning

Continuous success with doing her own thing, not chasing trends, not doing things she doesn't want to ie promote / give interviews.   Some people can't relate

Name me any of her peers that are charting on the Spotify Global 200. Quickly.

Then name me any of her peers that can still move 400K first week units. Quickly.

Beyoncé is in her 40s. Y'all will not make her look like a ''flop''. She is doing spectacular, especially being in the third decade of her career :deadbanana2:

I mean it's her fault for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the album since it was released. And I'm glad none of the songs are charting. It's her fault lmaooo!!! Now on to the NEXT album. :johnald:

I truly don't understand though how an artist can have y'all so bothered. It's just weird especially when she's so unproblematic and she genuinely loves what she does.

I think all of this is just an example of her refusing to release any types of music videos or visuals with the accompanying albums. It's quite annoying and I don't mind her getting dragged for it. What I do mind is how miserable you guys are on here. It's sooooo weird.

Cause you guys know if she actually gave af about her eras/streams she'd be steamrolling everyone other than Taylor rn. :deadbanana2:

Like. Unless her name is Taylor Swift none of these people's faves will be doing any better than Beyoncé is doing when they're in their 40s. :rip: They're in for a very rude awakening in a few years.

Incorrect, no matter the state of her career you cannot come for her performances because she always brings the fire.

I love Bey and I can say with my whole chest that this is the only album of hers that was a chore for me to get through, and I listened to it that one time.

I've just been hoping she quickly moves on from it. new year new me and this is my truth!

I know Beyonce feels a way that Rihanna is lackluster but slays effortlessly. The girls dragged her SB performance only for it to go viral and her old albums shoot up the charts. ANTI is still parked on the Hot 100. Meanwhile, Beyonce is this technical person and everything has to be perfect but the GP goes "that's cute" and keeps it moving. I know she feels ways. She better be lucky she has critical acclaim and respect.

the show was OUTSTANDING but let's be honest, unless you are in the beehive, the geepee (me included) only knew the words to Texas Hold 'Em. Beyoncé must be about arts not charts because surely with her voice, legacy and talent, she could quite easily secure a feature with none other than Bruno the hit maker

I doubt Bey feels any kind of way about Rih's or anyone else's success, but some of her stans do and that explains why they're still angry and mad in 2025 despite hating Rih since she was literally a teenager and is now a grown woman with two kids now. But you give a very good point that people rarely highlight which is simply: music resonating with the public. Rihanna performed beloved hits at her Superbowl performance, Bey performed songs from what must be (in my opinion) her dullest album and not a single non-CC hit like Crazy in Love. No amount of technical execution is going to beat people loving the songs, Bey did combine both at some point though she didn't do it now. Rihanna is still the most streamed Black female artist of 2024 despite not releasing an album in eight years or performing on any platform or major televised appearance or major radio play thanks to the high number of songs that still resonate many years after release. The fact that she pulled in bigger numbers this year than she even did during the year she performed on Superbowl proves my point. If Bey were to release an album that is as good as Renaissance or Self-Titled she'll pull better numbers than CC does.

Or: Beyonce debuted in the physical era, Rih in the digital era.

While both are black queens, they are NOT peers, which is often forgotten. Rih was literally advertized as "the new Beyonce" at her launch, rihmember?

But its cute Bey is always compared to the new breed. Its a hidden compliment really.

Bey's career is very interesting because she's had consistent success for years and that she can debut with over 600K in 2024 is an amazing feat that proves the sustained interest she still holds. At the same time, her solo career was just two years before Rih's and there's a reason she's one of the biggest digital artists of all time (like Rih, Taylor, Bruno, Gaga etc) and not the biggest physicals artists (like Mariah, Madonna, Whitney etc). Bey was an early influence on Rihanna, that's undeniable, but those comparisons did more damage than good for Rih because the critics that used them meant that Rih lacked originality/plus Bey fans didn't (and still don't) take well to anyone getting put in the same sentence as Bey. But all things considered, my main point about Rih's music continuing to do well on streaming was that despite many thinking Rih would be a flash in the pan saying she was the female FloRida and Pitbull, and that her hit songs would disappear over time, she has so many good songs that people still love and return to (so does Bey, just don't think Cowboy Carter has them) and that's the key to durability, not just technical execution which is also a great thing and a mark of a great artist.

Theres a whole other element to it: Rih is generally seen as very likeable, thus people WANT her to do well, thus she receives support even tho, as you pointed out, shes not able to deliver a spectacle like Bey.

With Bey, theres a lot of envy going on. Bey is clearly the most polarizing popstar out there these days (it used to be Gaga in the beginning of the 2010s, but it has shifted now). Many want to see her fail, thus even go as far as diminishing her talent and downplaying it.
