Who would have thought right?:coffee2: so an amazing performance of this caliber according to ATRL has NO IMPACT? maybe wasn't that good after all:coffee:

Was Gaga's great Happy Mistake performance suddenly **** because it didn't result in people streaming the song? Obviously not.

Regardless, the Cowboy Carter album has continued to rise well on Apple Music post-performance.

Bad music but you only listened to 2 out of 22 songs?

Edit: Damn, I replied too fast and didn't even really see the nasty miscarriages reference. Let me not even interact earnestly with that.

Well... Breakin' Dishes is a good song, on the other hand, whatever songs that Bey performed, is not great.

Anyway, Sell Me Candy & Good Girl Gone Bad next (hopefully) :duca:

Every Beyonce thread is so harsh :deadbanana4:

I don't think she has anything to prove so late into her career. The fact that CC is just not what anyone wants from her and yet it was still a solid album and experience (just not something people want to come back to all the time) and had people discussing her is impressive.

It's a TikTok trend that's why it's going up. No different than Diva going up in streams due to TikTok dance

Idk how anyone can call Cowboy Carter boring. Not liking it is your opinion but there's nothing boring about Cowboy Carter. There are only a couple slow songs and those songs all have the funkiest weird beats that should keep the listener intrigued. Beyoncé's overall production on her last 3 albums makes every song sound so unique and fresh to the previous track; it's impossible to label it boring. You just sound like a hater.

Exactly. I don't see any other pop girl in their 40s being able to pull the numbers that CC pulled while being a "niche" album with 27 tracks.

But the peanut gallery knows this, they're just being obtuse. It's always the stans of these younger chicks too. Strange. This must be what the OG Madonna fans felt when all the stans of younger women were continuously trying her legacy and modern achievements in the last couple of decades. Hell, the idiots still do lol.

I don't really get this bc how has she not promoted her music? She promoted her Texas Hold Em/16C single releases by announcing them at the Super Bowl earlier this year. She sent her singles to radio which is promotion. She appeared at the iHeartRadio awards the week of CC release. She did an album signing event on album release week. She promoted Ya Ya at the Olympics. She promoted Levii's Jean's by including it in an ad which is relevant to the song. She's now performed the songs live. She's reportedly planning to tour the album. Or does all this not count? Yeah it may not be the level of promo she did in her 20s or 30s or like the younger popstars atm do, but the reason why is exactly that - she's in her 40s and her family/children is her #1 priority - as it should be. Considering that, I think the amount of work/promo she does do is still commendable.

What exactly is the form of promotion you think she should be doing?

I think ATRLers have a very archaic view that 'promotion' only means appearing on late night TV shows. But it's not the 2000s and nobody watches those anymore, I can't see that being effective.

As for your other points - when has she ever said she's too good to release videos? Or when has she ever said she has a god complex? These are things you've made up in your head or you've let the insane conspiracy theorists convince you of.

The album needed visuals and a real push to be successful especially since it was a major shift sonically. And putting a song in a commercial doesn't do anything, it's very rare anyone gets a hit from that. That being said I think CC was a great album but it can only go so far when the artist disappears after the first week of release on top of bungling physicals. Beyoncé truly is a mad scientist, working on albums until the last minute, even changing the title. It works against her at times.

Hate to admit the CC era is dead, I figure once she did the album live performance there wasn't going to be a tour. It's giving 2013 VMA vanguard performance. We are going straight into act iii I believe.

That title change :rip:

She couldn't get any song from her bloated album with 27 tracks to chart on Spotify Global despite Texas went to #1 this year.

That's 21st century biggest artist y'all :suburban:

Breaking Dishes a good song?

Just because kids who use TikTok stream a song does NOT make it a good song. Puhlease, Breaking Dishes is TRASH from the first second on.
