pride4jc1222 Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Rumours is just going to chart in the Top 50 of the Billboard 200 in perpetuity. Not even Dangerous can outlast this. 1

SOS was released in December 2022, so "Snooze" had practically all of 2023 to accumulate chart points. So saying that it was #17 biggest song of the year isn't entirely accurate, considering there were many bigger songs that year that didn't earn as many chart points simply because they had less time to get points. Just take a look at some WW peaks of Snooze: UK: #18 AUS: #21 CAN: #11 SWI: #53 IRE: #49 GER: Did not chart FR: Did not chart ITA: Did not chart SPA: Did not chart I'm not saying "Snooze" isn't a hit, it is at some extent in some countries, mainly in the US. But it simply wasn't a SMASH. If you asked people outside the USA if they've heard it, most would likely say no. And it really cannot be compared to any Teenage Dream single in terms of smashness. Only on ATRL will you find a miserable homosexual claim a song that charted for 70 weeks is not a "smash" 4

I admitted it was a local hit. It charted 70 weeks only in the US. Snooze failed to become a global smash. Hardly anyone outside the US knows that song and cannot really be compared to any of the teenage dream singles.

I can read and I'm seeing you move the goal post around to fit your narrative. Welcome to my ignore list! 1

But i did not. I've been calling it a local hit since almost the beginning of the argument as you can see On 12/27/2024 at 11:21 PM, Space Cowboy said: Local hit i fear Also, the original narrative was SOS being consdiered the modern Teenage Dream and my point was simply that SOS' only teenage-dream-level smash was Kill Bill. Snooze is not a teenage-dream-level smash. How is that controversial?

How is Michael Buble, Bing Crosby, and Nat King Cole charting so high?

How is Michael Buble, Bing Crosby, and Nat King Cole charting so high? they have more songs being playlisted/promoted more whereas MC only really has AIWFCIY thats been promoted 1
