Taylor has had crazy sales on every single album, even the re-releases, while Beyonce had a few projects that did not perform up to par with the rest. It is not a the popstar that sold the most ranking. It is a greatest pop star ranking. And frankly how entitled is it to throw all this tantrum over #2? 1 8 1
Antisocialites Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 you know it's bad when Joseph Kahn is on your side. 12 2
TipToe Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Such a boot licker. Hope Beyoncé is aware of it and ban his ass from ever directing a video from her again (as if she shots any video nowadays but u got the picutre)
ATRL Moderator MissedTheTrain Posted December 1, 2024 ATRL Moderator Posted December 1, 2024 Ew. It's a bummer he runs his mouth like this because he's a talented director. 1
Daddy Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Joseph Kahn coming for an African-American person in favor of a white lady? Groundbreaking! Next. 1 1
Slap Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 There are subjective lists like this every single year, this placement has generated controversy and online discussion which keeps Billboard out there as planned. It's not that serious there's literally zero science to this list it doesn't mean anything. That said I think Beyonce should be ahead of Taylor. 1

Taylor's 1st week sales alone of her latest album outsold B's (basically everyone's) last 2 albums combined. Regardless of when either of them debuted, in this century Taylor has put out 11-studio albums (not including the re-releases) to Beyoncé's 11 (including two from Destiny's Child plus one collaboration album:The Gift). So it's not as if Beyoncé's head start has meant Taylor couldn't catch up to the amount Beyoncé has been able to release this century in order for Billboard to not accurately compare their careers in deciding who is #1 and who is #2. And sure sales are important. That's part of the reason Taylor is at #2. But to say they are [kinda] "everything" when the criteria is greatness (a qualitative not quantitive word) would be to wholly misconstrue what a sale means. If sales were everything to show greatness then Britney Spears' greatest album would be widely considered ...Baby One More Time with over 25 million in sales, not Blackout which had about 3 million. 1

I noticed his social media presence is very similar to Trump and Elon Musk. Quite a turn off. I wonder if maybe that's one of the reasons why Taylor stopped working with him.
Fama Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I love Joseph Kahn. He's one of the best directors out there and loyal AF. He's always respected Taylor for who she is and isn't intimidated by powerful women. There's a reason so many of his team members still work with Taylor. It's unfortunate that some Swifties didn't understand his very sarcastic humor because he truly is a fantastic director. That said, I love that he probably encouraged Taylor to direct her own music videos. 3

CosmicLover Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Beyoncé has more talent in her pinky than Taylor has in her whole existence. I said what I said. 2
umich Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Aww, he's still mad that he had to put "Say My Name" together in a tight deadline and it ended up being one of his best videos of the 2000s. Poor little thing 🤭
