Oh JLo, the legend you are :clap3:

Posted (edited)

The way JLo managed to do it in 2 consecutive years  :clap3:

 2001:

I'm Real  #1

J.LO  #1

The Wedding Planner  #1

2002:

Ain't It Funny  #1

J to the L-O! The Remixes  #1

Main in Manhattan  #1

She was also the lead actress in those movies :clap3:

The sooner you grasp that ASIB was bigger than half of the movies in that tweet combined and Gaga also had the #1 album and song to back it up(as well as actually acting in hers unlike Taylor), the better. :suburban:

And no #1 movie that year, like the thread title literally has in bold :suburban:

No, single happened later in the year. She did get the #1 album and film at the same time though.

Oh, so, apparently, now everything is made to provoque Gaga's fans, i guess?

we can't start a conversation that doesn't even involve Gaga without taking into consideration her fans' feelings

and I have never heard of anybody outside of pop girl stans use #1 at the box office as an achievement other than breakout indie successes or event films battling it out at the same time. If you want to stand by the made up qualifications here because you're an obsessed hater trying to provoke strangers on the internet for entertainment/because you think it's some way to get back at Lady Gaga for the immense power she visibly holds over you or something, be my guest. This is a FORUM though and THREADS are an invitation for DISCUSSION so discussing the tweet is what I'm doing.:suburban:

Very impressive (and doing that with a REMIX album!!!) :clap3:

The only pop girl so far to do it twice, soon to be joined by Beyoncé possibly!

Wicked is NOT crossing 1b, $600-650m is the most likely number rn.

There's no way Godcked, movie of the year, is only making $600m, while Moana 2 with those awful trailers (and being supposed to be a Disney+ show before) is about to do allegedly even up to $1.5b. If that's the case, I'll lose faith in humanity :suburban:

OT: Ariana :clap3: ASIB deserved to be there too, great movie and great soundtrack

#1 at the box office isn't a big deal for a reason. There's a handful of weeks every year where multiple event films release and it's easy to sneak low earning panned garbage at the top if you time it correctly, away from those. Those films released in January and February respectively. :gaycat5:

This tracks with your music taste bestie. We may disagree but we have to admire each other's consistency.

Beyoncé already did it twice. Coming for her third time next month. :clap3:

I didn't even clock Gaga's absence at first and thought this was meant to shade Dua Lipa for having no #1 album or #1 single. :deadbanana2:

Can anybody think of any pop girls who join the list if we ditch the "in a single year" qualification?

Selena has at least one of each.
#1 film: Hotel Transylvania

#1 album: Stars Dance

#1 single: Lose You To Love Me

What's with people trying to tarnish Beyoncés movie for being Pink Panther? Can your fave successfully pull off a comedic role? Do you realize not every role has to be deep Oscar bait? Y'all's faves play the same role every time and wonder why the geepee got bored of them.
