LegaMyth Posted November 6 Posted November 6 As long as there is no other pandemic, we should be okay. I understand the fears, but I do believe that there can be something good out of this. I am now motivated than ever when it comes to working towards my goals. Since I was a little kid, I've always wanted to live outside of the US. I feel like I'm getting closer to my goals.

He wants to steal money, he wants to get out of his legal troubles, he wants to feel powerful, and he'll stay focused on that over everything else for the first years. He doesn't really care about immigration, LGBTQ issues, or the economy at all. I don't think too much harm will be done. I could be wrong tho ofc 6 minutes ago, GipJo said: The political climate around the world is totally different. 8 years ago there are no major wars going on, now there are two that deeply effect every country. 8 years ago economy is rising everywhere, now many countries came out of pandemic with a broken economy. 8 years ago, there aren't many countries that lean far right, but now there are. You can't compare then and now. The situation is too different to say it'll be the same like the last time. We can only hope this will be the case!
RunUpDoneUp Posted November 6 Posted November 6 The closest I'd believe is 4 BUT I know it's going to be worse than 2016. They've gotten MORE extreme and evil. This is not going to be the same trump administration that fumbled their way through. He has handlers now and his cognition has declined significantly. He's much more manipulatable and the agenda is fascism. I expect an end to basic privileges Biden afforded Americans and a rise in activity from enemies ala China & Russia. Israel has the full go ahead to continue their campaign of anti-muslim reich star.

The point still stands that we're all still here just as we were under the last 4 yrs, and life goes on. We have to make of it what we can and try to push back where and when we can, even if it's futile. It's not the end. Period. We pick up and keep going, and take things a day at a time.
BeenTheShit Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Worse than ever. He's out for vengeance and will put Elon Musk, Steven Bannon, Roger Stone, RFK Jr, and other lunatics in his cabinet. Russia and Israel will have free reign to do whatever. Women, LGBTQ+, and minority rights will slowly be taken away. The education system is going to become whitewashed and Christianized. 2
Illuminati Posted November 6 Posted November 6 They have full control. I think they will intensify the behind the scenes scare tactics and make politicians either fall in line with the more radical right or be ousted. Trump will almost certainly make all the criminal stuff go away, bury Epstein investigations and pardon his supporters. I voted that the effect will be felt in decades, because I don't think that quick gains is their agenda. It's not a "lets just survive these next 4 years" type of election, they're scheming for something bigger. There will be a lot more people loyal to Trump/his successor in every branch of the government

I honestly think this is exactly what's going to happen They won't think twice about the vast majority of things
gustavothehuman Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Doesn't he have the Congress, Senate and Supreme Court on his side now? The most optimistic scenario is a dictatorship, lol.

AshleyLovescats887 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I don't even wanna think about it, but these four years will be extremely horrible for EVERYONE on this planet.
Smarticle Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Honestly his previous 4 years kinda was a huge nothingburger even the wall was struggling to get built
BlahBlahBlah Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Luckily he and his cronies are largely idiots and there will likely be a lot of infighting I feel among Republicans and his inner circle, but they definitely have the hindsight from his last term to come in with some set plans and an agenda, (foolishly published for the world to see but I guess that didn't matter in the end) I think the economy will hold for a year or two thanks to Biden but there is 100% going to be considerable hardship as we near the end of his term as they begin to **** around with their idiotic policies, just in time for the Democrats to inherit and be blamed for in 2028. I'm most concerned with Clarence and Alito. Those assholes probably retire and be replaced, solidifying SCOTUS as some whackjob monkey court of installed bad faith actors.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Elon musk is really gonna go wild with the resources for his Star Wars daydream mess. Environment is so Coooked
commander Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I'm trying to be very delusional here by believing this whole term will be a big fat nothing burger and nothing major will happen
Breathe On Moi Posted November 6 Posted November 6 3 hours ago, stevyy said: Not true. Trump's first presidency did not improve the lives of Americans, instead he left office with a million US citizens dead... (the most since the Vietnam war I believe). But they were able to blame the Dems at every turn. Rural Americans will feel Trump's bad policies the strongest... and I hope they appreciated what they have voted for. I think people have to FEEL and live the consequences of a truly moronic government before waking up from their cultish sleep. Donald is like the 15th president that I have experienced in my short life on this earth and every single time... The Republican Government was ultimately worse than the Democratic one and STILL Americans are voting them in. 3 hours ago, Armani? said: Did you forget he won despite overturning Roe vs Wade? 3 hours ago, GipJo said: The political climate around the world is totally different. 8 years ago there are no major wars going on, now there are two that deeply effect every country. 8 years ago economy is rising everywhere, now many countries came out of pandemic with a broken economy. 8 years ago, there aren't many countries that lean far right, but now there are. masochizm Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Nothing drastic under trump he won't be able to pass anything THAT bad. Did he build the wall? No. What is more worrying however is the general divide America seems to be facing, people are becoming more right winged, people are becoming more left winged and thats only going to cause issues for years to come. The fact that an ignorant, disgusting and inhumane individual can get elected as president in one of the most powerful and influential places on earth speaks volumes. It's never the government, it's the people.
shinyshimmery Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) I hope Blaire White wants to have a biological baby and gets denied entry at every hospital just for being trans, oh and that they force her to use the men's restrooms... I hope the people who voted Trump get the karma they deserve and suffer the most. I pray that my loved ones and friends are okay and continue to be okay during these 4 years.
