these fake centrist ******* typing these kamala/dem eulogies like anyone gives a **** omg

they are bigoted there's no reframing regardless of their ineptitude and you already clocked the cultural context in which they arrive, it IS the voters fault :deadbanana4: was she supposed to grassroots on 4chan or have a political debate with jake paul? we're supposed to fight yet get ridiculed for being "too woke". Like you just want us to shut the **** up yet can't find a consistent way to say it. They will die ******* stupid.

If you think I'm a centrist then you are missing the plot completely, Jesus ******* Christ :hoetenks:

This is all the same stuff I and many other users on ATRL have been trying to tell everyone for months now—explaining why Trump was clearly going to win—but some of you are so stuck in 2011 lib tumblr politics on The View that you thought BRATMALA had it in the bag :deadbanana2:

It's not conservative, they are just idiots falling for the right wing propaganda. The world is stupid in general.

Higher rates of depression, loneliness, purposelessness, addiction, suicide, and homelessness, for starters. In many cases no or not enough good male models. The economy making them unable to provide adequately for themselves and/or their loved ones, which it's still the societal norm that men will do (even among women).

Letting go of toxic masculinity and the pressure to adhere to gender roles would help with a lot of these issues. But what if young men don't want to let go of the idea of being a traditional man? Of course they are going to look up to misogynists. How do we convince Cishet men to be progressive when moving to the right is much more attractive…and requires less self examination?

For sure. But we have to be honest that that involves the coordinated effort of all of society. Including women, most of whom to this day still believe that men should be provider and protector, and find emotionality to be unattractive in their sons and husbands. And sorry but that's just a fact. Men are told by everyone to fill their traditional masculine role.

They have the politics of their Gen X parents (Trump's biggest stans), accelerated by full time immersion in right wing misinformation echo chambers. I'm afraid they never stood a chance.

I truly feel a larrggeeee part of it is just backlash from all the performative YT activists that THOUGHT that THEY were the catalyst for change. That's the most frustrating thing about YT privilege because at the end of the day they will continue to make the focal point about them although the groups that are actually suffering to a massive degree are the actual ones being oppressed, subjugated, and attacked. To the point where you now have YT people thinking they can tell other POCs and oppressed groups what to do about their own people. :deadbanana2:

I also blame the POCs that aided and forced the YT savior complex. Not all of them wanted to adopt that complex but there were POCs out there that were pushing it a lil too much. Instead of letting it organically just happen.

So now, as a reaction. Gen Z is treating the suffering of minorities as an annoyance and not as an avenue to find progress/resolutions for them. It's just a simple act of rebellion tbh. :deadbanana2:

a large portion of them are but I have come to the realization that america in general is an ignorant and conservative nation. they will continue to hold onto twisted beliefs even if it means the downfall of everything around them and millennials really are the only generation so far that has managed to avoid that pit fall. at least to the extent of the generations that bookend them.

They are, like every other gen before them sadly

We let far right ideologies run rampant on the internet, and then shove screens after screens into this generation. Of course the kids are gonna be alt-right. :rip:

The generation that was raised by tablets turns out to be conservative after soaking up so much negative **** out there on the internet? Shocker.

I think there's a compensation issue. For every ultra progressive Gen Zer there is a "rebel" who's making it a point to be against all things LGBT/Progressive that appeases the older generation of "real men and women"

All these alpha podcasts are a testament to it

It just doesn't makes sense especially that religion is dying in the west

Not exactly. While this is happening in western europe, in countries like the United States, Mexico or Brazil people still very religious. The western new world still very christian while the western old world is letting go of christianity

Not really. It is in Western Europe and among the educated, but not with the majority of people

Not really, religion has a significant impact in America, but not as much in Western Europe.

I can't believe y'all can't see the reason why all this is happening. It's so damn obvious.

I could tell this new generation is pretty Conservative just by their attitudes about sexuality. Sex and nudity in movies and TV shows is repulsive to them and they'll throw a fit if something they're watching has a sex scene because it's "unnecessary" and "has nothing to do with the plot."

And their hangups about age. How pretty much everyone under 25 should be treated as though they're a pure, innocent virgin and it's "predatory" to look at them in a sexual way. And if you were born more than about a year apart then the older person is a "groomer" and there's a power imbalance. They fear and hate sex and it comes across as very Republican to me.

Honestly can't tell if you're talking about white people or YouTubers. Just say white if that's what you mean, it's not a slur.

These are largely problems of working class and middle class men, not rich men, to be clear.

And thus the solution is to recognize and make it clear to people how rich people want poor people - including poor men - to suffer.

Not going "hey guys, all those rich twitch streamers and youtubers you watch are actually 100% right about everything," for example.

Definitely don't disagree. It sounds reductive because we've heard this many times before, but this whole time we needed to have been fighting a class war, not a gender war.

Mentioned the working class because they're the majority and thus are responsible for giving Trump the win.
