vale9001 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Gen z woke women were too busy during the campaign to make tik toks about Blake lively. The world Needed to know the terribile Person She Is to go to that premiere with a dress with flowers!! 11 2
MatiRod Posted November 6 Posted November 6 This is why we can't get complacent about gay issues. There are still lots of young people that hate us. 5
stevyy Posted November 6 Posted November 6 This is also my experience. The younger the voter and the older the voter... the more extreme they are. Millennials like myself are probably the most sane voting block these days (all around the world) because we grew up in a "not-so-broken" world. Gen Z / young voters lack critical thinking. They are glued to their devices and do not realize that they're trapped in a bubble. The Digital generation btw - and this is my experience as a teacher in a western European country - is not able to write an e-mail (anymore) or type a text message. It's AI or copy & paste or voice messages. 10
AvadaKedavra Posted November 6 Posted November 6 The typical path for new generations has been to lean more liberal, but social media has disrupted that. Now, with figures like Jake Paul, Andrew Tate, Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, "alpha male" content, influencers, and TikTok, more teens are being influenced toward extreme right-wing views. Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and the TikTok CEO bear significant responsibility for the harmful state of things, as do the YouTube CEOs for allowing so much toxic content. Here in my Latin American country, we have one of these types, a popular Twitch streamer who even promotes violence and abuse against women. Westcol. Twitch claims it doesn't tolerate hate, but it seems selective—anyone bringing in good money gets a pass. I blame all the tech leaders of this planet. Theyre giving platform to the grossest people. Gen alpha will be liberal. Not conservative. Not on my watch im turning influencer next year and will destroy the alpha male thing If they want fire i will give them fire 12

They backed Trump 51 to 45 in 2020 which I guess is normal for their "standards". Since the overall White men vote is 60% Trump. https://circle.tufts.edu/latest-research/youth-are-not-monolith-how-different-young-people-voted-2022 Quote Even young white men, who had been the subgroup most likely to vote GOP, this time preferred Democrats by a slim margin (49% voted for a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, compared to 45% who voted for a Republican candidate). 1
Armani? Posted November 6 Posted November 6 If Gen Z Latino men end up voting Trump more than Gen Z White men when circle tufts does their 2024 analysis 2
Revolution Posted November 6 Posted November 6 They have never had to struggle or fight for anything 2 3
RunUpDoneUp Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Normally I'd be pushing the angle that the youth can be saved but idk. They can't read or write or do basic math but wanna complain about women. The loud minority needs to be crushed again, we let them populate their rhetoric on platforms for too long. Freedom of speech should not translate to freedom to misogyny. Too many of them have been able to make millions trashing women and "it's just my religion :)" not support the "lgbt agenda :)" Deplatform them all. I want a zero tolerance policy against anyone pushing those messages under any actual left president. We can't foster this kind of environment ever again. 10 3
GeminiCat Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Too many young men of all races are being radicalized online by all the podcast bros movement and streamers. 5 1
shimind Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Good for them. It seems like conservatism is here to stay for many more decades. 2

Elon turned it into a propaganda machine for him, and it works. Continue to use twitter is continue to support his wallets and indirectly, Trump. 3
The7thStranger Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Gen Z is a problem but I didn't expect Gen X to give us a sequel to Woodstock. That generation has nothing to be pissed about and yet they still cause this chaos because they're bored. 3
makeawish Posted November 6 Posted November 6 i think of everything i've seen about the election so far this might be the stat that's worried me the most 7

Anyone who even tells an edgy joke on the left is instant canceled. No chance for new electric figures to rise to do the left propaganda. 12 4
Virgos Groove Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I feel like covers part or it. I'm experiencing the same thing with my brother. He's falling into the Andrew Tate/Elon Musk TikTok pipeline and I don't know what to do. I've tried to educate him, but it's hard when that kind of propaganda is so prevalent. 8 4

dawnettakins Posted November 6 Posted November 6 It's literally the economy, the elite, and the establishment failing us. People feel they are being left behind and not being represented, and it's totally fair because it's honestly true. People are just giving a big **** you to the establishment and those in power by voting for the wildcard, anti-establishment candidates because they feel that might at least start a fire, burn things down, and allow for something else. Or at least bring some type of change, and even if they're being foolish, they're not exactly wrong for wanting something different. Society is failing most people as most of us are barely scraping by in most cases. That can't keep up and keep going without a reaction and people saying they've had enough. Which now they have (again). 6 1
chessguy99 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Gen Z is the first generation to grow up with internet access. That makes them the first generation which has not been totally formed by the personal interactions of schooling, parenting and in-person social interactions. Access to unfiltered and possibly suspect information and opinions through an anonymous internet has given us this generation. Will be interesting to see the development of Gen Alpha. Not only do they have to deal with the same stuff Gen Z did, but have the addition of a full year of zero contact with the outside world from anything except the internet. I work in the child care industry and there has been a marked increase of children with developmental and behavioral issues, and I think we will be seeing many future studies pointing to the COVID lockdowns as a major factor of what will make Gen Alpha what they are. 11 1
