They'd basically have to do a revote to overturn this or the Supreme Court would have to deem it unconstitutional. But in order to do that they'd need to come up with a reason to declare the law unconstitutional, which is much more difficult than finding that there's no inherent constitutional right to gay marriage. There is a difference between something having no constitutional support and outright violating the Constitution; the latter being the only way the Supreme Court could justify overturning the law. 12 2
