i thought she'll ditch the music idea after she dropped her EP, cause she was so quiet about it. it's fascinating to see how she found her place.

I haven't liked her since she used Britney's book for attention about herself. She literally called the paparazzi and pretended like she was reading the book :rip: It was so staged. I don't like that.

Diet Pepsi is a bop but she's nothing special IMO. She also honestly can't act so she should stick to music.

Did she date that homophobic Trump supporter Bryce Hall?

she was literally just a bored kid going viral on tiktok during covid because she was pretty/relatable to other kids which propelled her to fame as that's how the entertainment world works, ppl acting like there's been this masterful rebranding is so funny to me as others have said she's just growing up, but I guess it means she has an appealing/strong career vision to those ppl now anyway :clap3:

It's smart, she panders to the correct audience the right way and since the music is really good now, I'm up!

Obsessed was a hit in my household. AR EP is the bible sitting next to my bed. My fridge is full of Diet Pepsi to quench my thirst in my Aquamarine kitchen.

I kinda wish she was more adventurous and didn't chase recent trends. Like personally she should have given us a sound like

The 'rebrand' already happened during the AR EP, like she had a Gaga demo and Charli XCX feature on that. She knew exactly what she was doing and what audience she was going for

I mean the rebranding was needed.  It first more or less felt like music was a side hustle to mark on a bucket list.

Now it feels there is effort and time, thought and energy put into it.

incredible :skull: i think what works is there's still an element of unseriousness to her that makes the fun bops that much more fun

I'm not really a fan of Aquamarine/Diet Pepsi. But I've enjoyed some of her past stuff and I trust the process. To me this isn't rebranding. I'm a little perplexed about her hyperpop ties, doesn't quite line up for me

I think it's great. Diet Pepsi and Aquamarine are two of the best songs of the year. She just gets it.

Why does everyone call growing up a "rebrand"? It's not a huge shift at all, in fact it's incredibly natural. She was a teenager doing dances on tiktok that people hated her over for no reason, and eventually used her platform to branch out to movies and music. Was she supposed to sit on tiktok forever? The app evolved, and she did too, it's no longer the dancing app it was considered in 2019-2021. That said, getting to know her artistry has been really fun to watch. She has always seemed like a sweet, funny person, and this field feels natural for her. While her earlier songs didn't do much for me, Diet Pepsi and Aquamarine have both been incredible.

Wishing her success in her career path, I'll definitely be tuning in.

It's easy for people to project a vapid personality onto a young woman, especially one that came up on an app like TikTok doing dances which is just standardized misogyny, but she's actually a very astute when it comes to music. Her taste is all over the place and very diverse; I think it really comes across on both Diet Pepsi and now Aquamarine, which may sound like things from the past but also feel exciting and different from what a lot of the other girls are doing. She's not just some blank slate marketers are pushing out to people

Like someone already mentioned, this felt like a natural course correction after she linked up with Charli and she started becoming her mentor occasionally. The AR EP being a gift of old demos to tide the fans over until she was ready to come back with the vision that we're seeing right now was a good move. People need time to adjust to an artistic rebrand and she found a way to go from being a TikTok laughing stock to a new potential Pop Girl in the making that the gays can't seem to get enough of. I do think a lot of people don't realize it's not just the artist itself but also the team around them that gets them to the big leagues, and she seems to be surrounded by the right people now.  :clap3:
