ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted November 4 Posted November 4 This album deserved so much better, she was in her Europop bag with this one. I was so shocked when last month a cover version of this began playing at the gym. Then I discovered that this version was actually a cover too

Geri, Melanie C, Jessie J, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Natasha, Leona... Such a touch-and-go musical landscape leona was done SO dirty it's actually upsetting
Julia Fox Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Surprised no one has mentioned Duffy. She was massive on her debut with hit after hit and then she released that trash song + that Coke ad and her career just got ruined. I'm still amazed her team deleted any evidence of her second album on every streaming platform. some years later she just appeared to say she was kidnapped and never recovered from that experience and said she will never come back to spotlight. Such a devastating event even more considering that happened after her house burn in flames and she flopped into oblivion and was the joke of the entire country in such 3-4 years after a triumphant start of her career. I'm glad she's alive and well still!
Julia Fox Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I think the main problem with the UK girls it's that they can't reinvent themselves or if they do it it's just so drastic. Jessie J doing friendly pop bops and some talent show signature songs to then balding herself with a more electro pop and North American sound was just an horrible career move. Something similar happened with Alexandra Burke. Emeli, Eliza Doolittle and Leona just tried the same formula over and over again so that obviously will make the UK get bored of them when Adele, Lily and Amy were filling some of the voids they were aiming for.
Assassin Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Louisa Johnson. Unlike most X Factor winners she didn't even get to release an album before she was dropped.
illia Posted November 8 Posted November 8 This is really good I'm aware she's American but she's mainly based in the UK (I think)
