This is a crazy take :deadbanana2:

As I said, I just really hate TTPD. Hopefully she pulls herself out of whatever creative slump she's in for the next album or I might have to revoke my casual fan card cuz I will not sit through another album like that and tolerate it.

Because at least ME! has a freaking melody, a hook, it actually has structure to it. TTPD is just word salad with a random, boring beat behind it. The songs arn't even songs imo. It's like she forgot how to write a song imo. Cuz those are not songs as far as i'm concerned.

Ok yea you definitely haven't listened to TTPD. Not even the deranged oths here are saying ME is better than the entirety of the album

I love taylor's music, 1989 and reputation are two of my fav albums of all time. Of course I've listened to the album, I may have fallen asleep a few times while trying to get through it but I listened, multiple times. I will however, never listen to it again and I find it to be dreadful. I'm glad you guys like the album but idk, it's just not for me, i could not hate it anymore than i already do.

Remove the 5 worst songs on Lover and it becomes the best record of her mid-late 2010s pop era.

Delete TTPD.

There are a lot more than five bad songs on Lover. Next!

Chop… chop… chop…

But if I really have to pick just one, it's gonna be the dirty smelly Tattered TP Department.

Loser is her worst album, TTPD one of her best actually :giraffe: and midnights well... it's just mid. It can stay.

I would've deleted Lover, but I think all the drags that came with that album gave us folklore at the end of the day, HER BEST ALBUM.

So I would delete TTPD, haven't revisited that album in a while now.

TTPD

if Guilty As Sin, Down Bad, and So High School are the best songs in your album then you know it's sh*t... it's such a stain in her discography and many Swifties will agree

TTPD has almost nothing going for it. Out of 31 songs you can save 3 or 4 and even those don't even touch Taylor's top 50 best songs. I still don't understand how she came up with something so awful :skull:

Well Guilty As Sin is one of the best songs of her career so :cm:

(But I'd say the other best ones are The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, So Long London, I Look In People's Windows, I Hate It Here, How Did It End?, The Black Dog, Clara Bow, Florida!!! etc)

I'm genuinely surprised so many of you don't like TTPD, did you give it one listen and not try again?  It's become my 3rd favorite Taylor album behind folkmore :jonny: I don't think there's anything "bad" on it, the weakest is probs The Alchemy and even that is fine.

easily the Torture Poets Society :tornado:

the other two are both pretty great tbh. Lover is overall her best pure pop album (just remove the two first singles, IFTYE, and London Boy, and ur golden lol!)

look, at the end of the day all three albums have at least one discography highlight each on 'em

Lover at LEAST has The Archer

Midnights at LEAST has YOYO,K

TTPD at LEAST has Guilty as Sin?

and Lover also has Cornelia Street, DbaTC, False Godot, Cruel Summer, ITHK, MA&tHP, Afterglow… all excellent

and Midnights also has Lavender Haze, Maroon, Bejeweled, Midnight Rain, The Great War, Glitch… all excellent

and TTPD also has BDILH, Clara Bow, and Peter… all excellent

but Lover out of those clearly has the most consistent and prevalent highlights soooo :giraffe:

I couldn't finish the album and never went back at least Lover had a few bops and I love Midnights

Torn between MIDnights and TTPD, but since Midnights is Lover's sister album, I'd delete Tortured Listeners Department instead.

It's just a dreadful listening experience of an album tbh.

Can i ask, what about TTPD makes it so good for you? I would actually like to know how someone can find it to be such a good album cuz I can't one good thing about it. I'm curious to hear your take on it.
