It's an easy answer and it's Lover, that album literally has like 6 good songs

Anyone saying TTPD or Midnights is just straight up lying :dies:

TTPD can go, no hesitation. It is her worst album and imo one of the most bland, boring and pretentious albums ever made. Truly a tragic excuse for an album. Goodbye.

Midnights at least has some good songs, and even the worse song on Midnights is better than the best song on TTPD.

Lover has some cringe moments, mainly the singles, but overall it is a solid album.

Do you guys really dislike TTPD that much :rip: Lover easily

Legit one of the worst albums ever made imo. And I say that as a taylor fan. An abomination of an album tbh.

Torture Borefest Department should've never happened, it doesn't deserve 1/10 of its success. Covers no new ground for her musically or lyrically and each track is like a lackluster version of a previous song she's done. It's bloated, repetitive and the the production does nothing for the songs. Genuinely the only impressive thing about it are the stats.

Exactly how I feel.

These are the comments I don't get.  Do you genuinely think a song like Vigilante Shit or Question is better than Guilty As Sin, Florida!!!, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived or I Look In People's Windows?

Yes I do, even ME!, being the cringefest that it is, is better than every song on TTPD put together. I don't know what's going on with taylor but i was, and still am shocked, that she would put out such a tragic album. For me, there is not one single good, redeeming factor about TTPD. I am serious when I say that it is one the worst albums i've ever heard. I just really hate it tbh.

Both Vigilante **** and Question are ridiculous, TTPD is messy but it brings so much more of her actual personality to the table, most of Midnights sounds like it was specifically made to entertain fans

This is why I don't take TTPD hate that seriously. I cannot twist myself into a pretzel to understand how anyone could claim ME! is somehow better than I Hate It Here, Guilty as Sin?, Fresh Out The Slammer, I Look in People's Windows, or loml.

Lover of course

TTPD has plenty of masterpieces and career highlights, you have no taste if you still don't like it

That's mind boggling to me. But then again you just said Lover is a solid pop album. Even fans mostly dislike it compared to the rest of her discography.

Tortured Poets, easily. And I say that as a Lover hater.

It's not that the songs aren't good, it's just boring. It's like the recap episodes of Friends - mostly retreading what we've already heard, with the occasional moment of something new or interesting, but mostly just a bit of a boring rehash.

It's also the first album where I've felt fully disconnected from Taylor in terms on lyricism. It doesn't really matter how intricate or clever, or wordy, or how many metaphors she uses, it doesn't have any urgency or purpose. I literally don't care about any of the subject matter because it feels more like it's written with the knowledge that it's going to be dissected, analysed, reacted to, etc. rather than written as a response to her life. Compare the storytelling on Speak Now or Red to TTPD. The former have an emotional weight to them that TTPD doesn't carry IMO because it's too self-aware for its own good. And it certainly didn't need to be a double album.

Poets easily. even as someone who adores most of her discography there's legit like 5 out of the 30+ tracks on Poets that interest me even slightly :rip:

Literally my least favorite Taylor albums. Delete them all. :gaycat2:

Lover and Midnights do have some high points though so it's the tortured borefest for me.

Because at least ME! has a freaking melody, a hook, it actually has structure to it. TTPD is just word salad with a random, boring beat behind it. The songs arn't even songs imo. It's like she forgot how to write a song imo. Cuz those are not songs as far as i'm concerned.
