Ariana responds to Elvira: "I don't even remember getting the chance to meet you"

Elvira's nasty for this. First of all, celebs get asked this kind of thing "what's your worst experience with a celeb/diva" all the time, and if you have an ounce of class or tact you evade the question and move on. Second, she POSTED it on instagram? Really *****? Finally, this was apparently right after Manchester, and Ariana did little to nothing wrong to begin with by saying no to a picture.

Ari's response is great with just the right amount of shade in there :clap3:

As someone who has bad anxiety, you can't blame your anxiety on treating people like **** :rip:

Very defensive I fear

"Treating people like ****" as in didn't take a photo with Elvira because she left early due to her anxiety attack? Did you even hear yourself?

What a passive-aggressive, condescending response. Disgusting

Ariana is better than me because I wouldn't have even dignified this nonsense with a response.

Good grief. If you had to leave because of anxiety, then there were multiple ways to manage the situation afterwards. What's the point of celebrities having these big teams around them if they can't freaking handle **** like this?

This is, of course, if the tickets Elvira gave out were free for her family and team.

I was willing to see where she was coming from until I noticed this; she wanted some clout

Why not address this privately? Like is she actually sorry for offending Elvira or is this damage control? Reminds me of how she was known as a diva in the early days till she was forced to rehab her image. There's a key difference between wanting to be a good person & wanting to be seen as a good person. There's no way to ever know but from the optics, it does very much seem like the latter

Why should she not defend herself?

Exactly - her mentioning the timing was clearly a way of trying to explain why her anxiety would have been so bad she had to remove herself without actually saying it (because I'm sure that would be construed negatively as using the tragedy for sympathy).

This is how us cancers work... we speak truths, but try to keep it vague to not garner any pity. We say just enough, hoping people will piece the information and make their own assumptions with what we give them.

OT - I'm on Ariana's side on this... it was very distasteful to be called out like that, especially after being painted as a freeloader for getting free tickets. She did right by posting her side of the story.

Ari acted like a diva then and now a *****. A quick apology and say we'll get a pic together at some point. She is 31, not a teen trying to act shady around friends.

I mean, Ariana went through several races since then, so yeah she's a different person, but the people coming for Elvira acting like she needs "clout" isn't a cute look either, this was her experience and she was asked about, no matter if it happened a day or 10 years ago.

Btw why bringing up things from 7 years ago? Ariana has changed a lot as a person and she also went through a lot as well

When people's careers aren't popping they'll resort to a lot to get some clout and press

eh, of the two, only ariana has a reason to lie like this. elvira is a legend who has been around for decades so she doesn't really have any reason to lie about this.

I guarantee you that up until this mess, not everyone knew Elvira's name... myself included.

And it was Ariana's experience that she was reeling from a literal terrorist attack at her concert where people died and she wasn't in the right headspace.

Elvira posting this to her Instagram grid is 100% clout chasing, and should be beneath her but clearly isn't, so people are right to call her out. She's clearly enjoying the attention it's bringing her.

if anyone is acting childish in this situation it's 73 year old Cassandra. Though I'll say, she's looking great for her age!

She didnt just mention it, she's posting everywhere while promoting her shows. If that's not clout I don't know what is :ahh:

Yall trying to spin this in favor of a 70 year old with too much time on her hands, when at the time Ariana had literally been through a terrorist attack speaks volumes.  This website will always be disgusting.

Why did Elvira post it to her IG feed then? She literally posted the screenshot of the story to her IG feed with this caption: "Story time! Swipe ➡️ I'm back at @knottsscaryfarm tonight for the 'Yours Cruelly, Elvira XXperience' Q & A + autograph signing! See ya there! 😉" She obviously using this to self-promote which is poor taste.

These think pieces about the inner thoughts of somebody you have never met and was the victim of a terrorist attack shortly before this incident. Aren't you embarrassed even a little? :biblionana:

well, just because she went through something like that doesn't mean i can't dislike her personalities, you know? plus, i don't need to know her personally to see she gives a bad vibe with this desperate mean girl facade she's trying to pull off :michael:

Ariana's response/apology would've sounded more genuine without the passive aggressive tone towards the end.

For posting it on insta, but answering the question? No. The cheek of Ariana to ask for photos for all her guests then say no to one. Ari is obviously pissed at something negative being posted about her, but if the story is true, then she is the bad one here. So entitled.
