Beyond it being tragic, I'm finding myself a little more rattled by this than I would have thought. 

 

Could be the sadness of how young he was, how embedded in "pop culture" 1D still are, or just the general suddenness and shock of the circumstances. Maybe it's all of it.

 

I've never been a fan of 1D (outside of the odd song) nor Liam, but really upsetting news.

 

Fame, man. It really is no joke. We admittedly live for it, but the older I get the more it's clear to see how unavoidable the dark side of it really is. We've seen it over and over. Living for the applause (which is inherently what all acts do) only to struggle with the pitfalls when it silences.

 

No other field has such a pronounced reputation for such young deaths. From the 27 Club (which is insane when you really think about how young that is in context) to the MJ's at 50, the Whitney's at 48, to this at 31. Not to put Liam in that bracket of act, but it is factually another young death in pop culture and so sad because it feels preventable.

I hope its not a suicide case and I really hope its not something serious and that he died in peace and with family around him.

It's a very tragic accident, and I hope his close ones will find peace, especially his family.

 

But I'm going to need people to stop building this story about relentless cyberbullying that caused him to... whatever you are suggesting. You don't know anything about him, far less anything about this specific tragedy. I'm a woman who's a victim of abuse and who's read the book her ex wrote about it, which she recently confirmed was the true story of what she went through. She literally just started legal action against him, literally yesterday.
