AvadaKedavra Posted October 10 Posted October 10 (edited) All these alt artists from the 2020s aren't even good enough to act like they're a big deal. Theyre so annoying always angry about everything Is like trendy to hate audiences now. We talk about "Eat the Rich" all the time but why we are allowing these privileged newcomers to stomp on us? If i give you my hard-well-earned money i want some basic respect too Artists like Taylor,Shakira,Gaga,Beyonce and more....treat their fans with respect even when they have some of the largest and most annoying fanbases in the planet. BOOMBAYAH Posted October 10 Posted October 10 I think both sides have valid points. Artists can sometimes be overly sensitive and chastise or belittle their fans without a strong enough reason. On the other hand, fans can cross boundaries, making the artist feel uncomfortable or even unsafe. I think it's a good thing that more artists are speaking up tho. The other day I was thinking about how we've become desensitized to headlines like 'Singer X has a new stalker'—it appears for a day and is quickly forgotten, partly because older generation artists often didn't speak out.

Aristede Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Chappell Roan seems to have started a "my fans irritate me so much. Make them go away." trend. Well, then don't be surprised when the fans you hate so much quit streaming your music and quit buying your concert tickets/merchandise. 1 1 3

AshleyLovescats887 Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Isn't Clairo not a new artist? She has been making music since like 2017 and her debut album was released in 2019.. Plus Clairo even has a song called 'Blouse' that talks about men only paying attention to the appearance/sexual side of women rather than their talent or intelligence, so of course she wouldn't be happy with random men disturbing her and her shows via catcalling or whatever they were doing 5

Be The Cowboy's release and her going viral on TikTok has attracted the same crowd that feel entitled to a parasocial relationship with her (or any other musician, see Charli's brat). A deranged fan also fabricated a story that Mitski is involved in human trafficking.. like
Mornings Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Yeah well they need to read the room. Clairo's concert is not a pregame and get nasty type of situation. imagine clairo cooing like a dove and some rude twink screaming at her 😫😖 1

Some women do it too, but mostly men loved to yell "You're so hot" "Marry me" "I love you Clairo" at her during that particular song. Edited October 10 by Rhyme
modeblock Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Ew, it must be so annoying to be showcasing your art and have them screaming over it while objectifying you instead of listening. Gross. 1 1
grapevine Posted October 10 Posted October 10 seeing people claiming the ungrateful angle but i appreciate her particularly calling out disrespectful male fans. i've always been bewildered with how some men act at concerts of female artists. they're not just disrespectful to the artist, they're rude to the audience, especially women concertgoers. shoving, yelling, entitlement… or just saying downright perverted things in the audience (men at my TWICE show). i don't think people should get mad at a woman telling men not to yell at her. it's pretty simple. it's uncomfortable. 5
Ewan Chaos Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Speaking from experience, people choose the most random concerts to get belligerently ****** up and yell/be annoying the whole time. I remember Kimbra was doing a couple small venue seated acoustic shows one winter and one person was so out of it before the show even started she had to be escorted out And the annoying ass drunk straight bros when I saw Magdalena Bay a couple years ago, good lord.

Girl I went to a ******* 100-150 person Christmas cabaret concert from Latrice Royale and one of the attendees was belligerently drunk and wouldn't stfu saying "yasss" and shouting after every single thing Latrice said. Latrice was wonderful but I was so embarrassed by that person especially since the venue was so small and intimidate which made it all the more uncomfortable. My advice to people is to have some cute drinks before a concert, get tipsy, but save the blackout drunk messiness for more privacy later because your fellow concertgoers will hate you otherwise! 1
Youngbae Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Nothing beats people giving blowjobs at some Kylie Minogue show back in the 2000's. Clairo has it easy. 1
