Sannie Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) Katy Kats. After nearly a decade of relying on 'Roar' and swearing all Katy had to do was work with Dr. Luke, dye her hair black, and show her boobs, Katy tried all of those things only to be met with the biggest commercial and critical failure of any popstar in the past fifty years. It's so bad her career is effectively over. And the worst part is, she has nothing to fall back on, not even her old gig as a reality TV show host. Literally, she has nothing, no income source. I have honestly never seen a major pop album flop that bad critically or commercially and I challenge anyone to tell me otherwise. Lmao you can't make this **** up. I know the Cats are desperate to deflect from the second worst reviewed female album of all time but we were all still here 2 weeks ago. CLOCK

This being on the first page and Kats avoiding it like the plague. The irony is the only thing Kats have to make themselves feel a little better is... Lady Gaga. Nothing has changed for them over the past decade. Gaga is still the only thing they have to hold onto. 2 1
kawk Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Monsters by far... getting panned for your acting 2 films in a row, being deemed box office poison and receiving an unprecedented D CinemaScore on your latest film should have Gaga worried. That shiit is career ending. 1 3 4

That shiit is career ending. 1. She hasn't been panned for her acting in either film at all. You just made that up. She quite literally is singled out positively in the critics and audience consensus on RT for both of them and had a strong awards run for Gucci. 2. The blame for the failure of the film is universally being placed on Todd (rightfully so), whereas she's being pegged as a saving grace. Literally no one outside of this site is seeing this as some disaster for Gaga or a big hit to her career. Edited October 6 by EnigmaticAndroid 3

Critics Consensus House of Gucci vacillates between inspired camp and dour drama too often to pull off a confident runway strut, but Lady Gaga's note-perfect performance has a timeless style all its own. And we're comparing a random side jazz cover album with what was supposed to be Katy's world-shattering comeback propper up by 4 collabs and 3 singles. And that's ignoring the smash hit Gaga has out right now that's oustreaming Katy's entire catalog. How pitiful! 2 1

Wow it was BAD for miss Gaga, whom Little Jokers put on a pedestal as someone who's waaay above Katy's league for years and had insanely high expectations with JFAD saying it was gonna definitely skyrocket her starpower to the moons and the album will mirror Asib fluke. Too bad it CRASHED and BURNED right before their eyes, even with a Bruno-assisted smash currently and all that goodwill, no wonder they're redirecting all that pent up anger now towards Katy and her fans 1 1 2

I'd be in total denial too if my fave was stuck in hasbeen island for an entire decade with 3 bomb albums in a row instead of getting multiple #1 albums, 2 #1 singles (remember those?) an Oscar win, 3 other noms, 8 Grammys, 2 hit movies, and multiple prestigious acting awards. Have fun stanning Flash in the Perry. It's like an old dog waiting to be put out of its misery. 2 1 1

Wow the anger the truth is, your expectations for GA GA has always been sky high compared to our expectations for katheryn for a decade now. And now you cannot handle the fact that your fave is BOMBING beyond belief when she's not leeching off of A list stars or a movie franchise (the latter is not even true anymore lmaooo). So save your fake concern for Katy kats and worry about your own world coming crashing down, because you did NOT except JFAD and that boring snooze of an album to bomb as hard as it did. The deflection to Katy ain't helping your case here boo-boo. 2 1 2 2

EnigmaticAndroid Posted October 6 Posted October 6 And I was told for months, a good year even, that Katy was coming for blood and was about to stomp on the girls necks with the comeback of the century. She was guaranteed to be on top again The Twitter likes and Tik Tok sounds proved it. What happened when that came crashing down? @Witnessed ET 2 4 1

One half of the base was melting down because they knew Gaga wouldn't get enough sales since it was jazz and the other was laughing it's a** off for what is happening to the rest of the base. 1 1
Titanbaddie Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Beyonce having one of her biggest SOLO number 1 singles of her career and one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums of the year is humbling but being the lead actress in the biggest flop movie of the year (a movie genre worst critically and commercially that cost $200 million to make) and dropping an accompanying album that debuts outside of the top 10 isn't humbling is the exact logic i've come to expect from Monsters. Hiding behind a Bruno Mars hit single doesn't change that. Anyway KatKats just wanted a normal era so the expectations were low anyway but Monsters told us this was going to be another re-peak for Gaga yet she managed to help sink a billion dollar franchise. 1 1

alexaalto Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) Oh what a time to be alive and being a fan of both Miss Kittycat and Miss Monster, they can't catch a break can they At least I personally enjoyed 143 hugely and based on gaga's snippets "LG7" is shaping up to be sonically truly great (back to her electronic sound) so for me it is a win/win situation without listening to others, critics etc Edited October 6 by alexaalto
Outlaws Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Katycats. It's not like Gaga doesn't have a hit at this very moment, even if you guys would like to ignore that weirdos.
