Lady Gaga's Floppage: Technical Explanation?

Her audience is likely drawn to her authenticity, selecting what they enjoy from a multi-faceted artist who is not only a singer and actress but also a mother. Unlike many in the industry, she doesn't rely on offering an overwhelming number of variants or manipulating playlists to artificially boost exposure.

If you enjoy Gaga's ballads, she has hits that will make you smile. If you prefer her jazz, she has that too.

Do you have to appreciate both styles simultaneously? Not necessarily.

Let's NOT about variants.....

I appreciate you trying to explain but not a very good explanation.
I was hoping for a more technical answer.

You have 11m people listening to a new song (released a month ago)
and then you have not even HALF a million people tuning in for songs released a week ago?

How does this work?

Suprirse release literally MAKES people listen to the project more so...

---

One good explanation: The project it is associated with has bombed,
but then DWAS should bomb too, no?

Girl, this clueless act isn't giving what you think it's giving

If you can't understand why covers of 100 year old jazz standards aren't demolishing the Spotify charts then I'm not sure any of us can help you

And DWAS has nothing to do with Joker so...

I see someone is frustrated that BOAF has been getting blocked by a Lady Gaga song for over a month straight (and will continue to do so)

I somehow don't understand the logic that everything has to be a mega success just because a well-known artist is behind it.

This, full stop. :bam:

Literally all of our favs have had random side releases flop, largely because they weren't intended for direct commercial success. Anyone creaming themselves over a jazz covers album not smashing comes off as desperate more than anything.

Oh no her jazz side project isn't doing well even though she currently has a smash hit, she's OVER
