Massive_Teardrop Posted October 1 Posted October 1 She has a chance for charts redemption quite soon. Y'all now have me fully rooting for Gaga (altho the music on Harli really is not hitting for me except for Happy Mistake) 3

They don't perform as well as her studio albums and she moves on from them quickly but that doesn't stop them from outperforming certain girls' studio albums Besides, are you sure that as a Gaga stan you want to talk about studio albums? You're just acting obtuse. Cheek 2 Cheek, Love For Sale and Harlequin consist of 31 cover songs and only one original pop song all in all and zero official singles. Taylor's side-projects have 26 original pop songs and multiple lead singles. How is that even comparable? You simply cannot compare side-projects filled with traditional covers to side-projects with original music. Especially since the only time Gaga did a side-project with original songs it sold 10 million units But of course you won't comment on that because it clocks you. Edited October 1 by Doctor Dick 1

First of all, Gaga has proven to be quite successful at genre-hopping. Joanne debuted at #1 with healthy sales, A Star Is Born was a smash and Cheek 2 Cheek was a #1 album but there's a clear difference between doing what Taylor/Beyoncé does (original music) and what Gaga does (cover songs). Taylor is known for her songwriting and she still delivered that with Folklore and Evermore and Beyoncé's afro-beat inspired The Gift side-project was NEW songs and with a genre classified as Urban as well. You cannot tell me dance-pop and traditional jazz covers are the same jump Gaga literally goes OUTSIDE of what made her famous entirely servicing traditional show tunes and jazz music when she's doing these side-projects. It's like if Taylor Swift made a death-metal album but without original songs or Beyoncé did a Edith Piaf-covers album. You cannot tell me their fanbases would support those, especially two or more. Liddos support Gaga just fine whenever she puts out original music, Gaga has never bombed with a regular studio album. These comparisons are so try-hard and could potentially DRAG all of you to the pits of hell with the LG7 lead. I really need you to know it's not that serious and I'm saying this as a Gaga stan. Pls relax. 1

Gaga tanked with her side projects and she's been tanking with her studio albums for over a decade now. You'd think by now y'all would have gotten used to the tankery but you set yourselves up everytime Gaga sees the tiniest bit of success then start crying when it backfires. Yeah, 10 years ago and that's great that it did that for her but there are so many other genres she could've explored if she wanted to put out a cute lil side project. Jazz is tired plus she already put out two full fledged Jazz albums, it's time to give it a rest.

Like monsters have the cockiness of swifties with Katy Perry receipts to back them up Only one time has Gaga had a side-project comparable to Taylor's and that was ASIB because all of Taylor's and the one by Gaga is with original music. The three jazz projects are cover albums so of course they don't have the same support, especially since they're not even pop music but instead jazz with zero singles serviced to radio and zero official music videos. The same cannot be said about Taylor's which are all pop music with radio singles and music videos. That was the initial discussion. The difference between Liddos and you are that the Liddos aren't actually hurt by the performances of her jazz projects but the only side-project with original pop songs Gaga has made that can be directly compared to Taylor's side projects sold 10 million units and we all know that THAT hurts you 1

Elementary Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Are we going to use the same logic Kats did two weeks ago and call them "good numbers" if she does 30k?
Thor Posted October 2 Posted October 2 That one Swiftie absolutely losing his mind with unhinged rants Oh I know he's mad he didn't get the reactions from the Monsters that he wanted 2 1 2
Cloudy Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Oh what a week this has been. Gaga and the liddos never fail to bring the entertainment in a way no one can 5
