this is just sad. Her name alone should've been enough to push her top 10. I guess she's no longer the pop superstar she once was. Oh well, time to move on to the next gen of superstars

You'd think monsters would just take the L and be humble and yet here they are lashing out at more successful artists once again :suburban:

Yes, we know LG7 is coming and yes we're looking forward to dragging its numbers as well :ryan3:

I think the main problem here is that no one ever expected this to smash but also never expected it to do this bad either. But it's absolutely ridiculous to compare it to regular studio albums with 12 original songs and music videos and official singles. It's beyond clear that there'll always be more investment in a regular studio album, from the fanbase to the label and artist themselves. Regardless of how well or bad her next studio album will do it's been made abundantly clear that this wasn't one and no one expected it to smash either. It's like comparing Taylor's holiday album sales to one of her studio albums and calling her out on it. Just like The Gift didn't say nothing about Renaissance, Harlequin says nothing about Gaga's next studio album either.

I mean I'm a stan and still haven't bothered to listen to it. Not surprised.

I'm waiting for LG7

I'm surprised her pure sales are so low considering how dedicated her fanbase seems to be. I know she has more than one vinyl variant cause I saw them posted r/vinylreleases subreddit. Have those not shipped yet?

Majority of her stanbase does not like this album. I only listened to it once and have not gotten back and have no interest in listening to a bunch of old ass jazz covers.

The only time she performed well with this kind of music was with C2C when it was the first time but now its gotten old.

Obviously she's gonna do better with LG7 but these numbers are still hilarious, oh JazzGa :toofunny3:

Taylor's re-recordings are her side projects, babe. They don't perform as well as her studio albums and she moves on from them quickly but that doesn't stop them from outperforming certain girls' studio albums :clack:

Besides, are you sure that as a Gaga stan you want to talk about studio albums? :suburban:

I don't understand how could she go this low

Her last album debuted with 300k

This is ridiculous, did not even the hardcore monsters buy it as a collection item?

Hopefully this bombing lets gaga and her team know that absolutely no one wants these jazz albums from her. looks like the monsters are tired of faking the funk regarding these passion projects

pop and dance only *****

and stop taking 4+ year breaks between studio albums

!!

And I hope the numbers drop even more so that she's traumatized and never touches Jazz music again

We could've had a cute lil 6 song EP with more rock-leaning songs but no she had to pump out another lame ass jazz record

And I really thought she would never do Jazz again after Tony's passing but here we are :toofunny3:

There's a reason Taylor can pull numbers with any genre, Madonna and Beyoncé also has shown that they can also sell and debut decently with side projects/albums with genre shifts that could alienate their bases.

If I didn't know English I'd call that some German-sounding gibberish.

First of all, Gaga has proven to be quite successful at genre-hopping. Joanne debuted at #1 with healthy sales, A Star Is Born was a smash and Cheek 2 Cheek was a #1 album but there's a clear difference between doing what Taylor/Beyoncé does (original music) and what Gaga does (cover songs). Taylor is known for her songwriting and she still delivered that with Folklore and Evermore and Beyoncé's afro-beat inspired The Gift side-project was NEW songs and with a genre classified as Urban as well. You cannot tell me dance-pop and traditional jazz covers are the same jump :rip: Gaga literally goes OUTSIDE of what made her famous entirely servicing traditional show tunes and jazz music when she's doing these side-projects. It's like if Taylor Swift made a death-metal album but without original songs or Beyoncé did a Edith Piaf-covers album. You cannot tell me their fanbases would support those, especially two or more. Liddos support Gaga just fine whenever she puts out original music, Gaga has never bombed with a regular studio album. These comparisons are so try-hard and could potentially DRAG all of you to the pits of hell with the LG7 lead.

Yeah this makes sense. A jazz album with mostly covers isn't an easy sell. Obviously her next "proper" album is going to do a lot better I was just a bit surprised by the numbers bc she seems to have the "I buy everything and anything from my fave" type of stans.

It's because of the DWAS vinyl which are supposed to ship on Oct 4.

If you only ordered the vinyl, they were shipped ASAP,

you guys are ******* weird it's never this serious. that genre basically saved her career and took her out of a box that she was stuck in.

:deadbanana: on the bright side for all the Liddos, seems unlikely she'll return to jazz anytime soon now because of this

Girl I was in school when I joined ATRL. You are NOT a spring chicken :jonny4:

now back to this dumb ass point you made and are trying to deviate from. Why did you make it, why did you think it made sense and…. Why are you not funny?

what happened to go cry about it? The unbothered schtick got tiresome? Will I be compensated for having you stink up my mentions with illiterate hogwash?

School as in college? Grad school? :ahh:lol. Notice how you didn't specify, dumbass. Considering my original posts has more people agreeing with me than disagreeing, I'm going to say my point is valid :rip: Also, nobody is trying to be funny aside from your middle school "shade" :ahh:
