Hopefully this bombing lets gaga and her team know that absolutely no one wants these jazz albums from her. looks like the monsters are tired of faking the funk regarding these passion projects

Yes. Enough jazz music. She's not even 40 yet and already transitioned into Liza. lol

Everyone comparing Taylor Swift's well calculated studio album releases to this thing she threw together in 3 weeks... never grow up, ATRL :toofunny2:

The "jazz album" excuse doesn't even live up anymore since it's doing so much worse than C2C and LFS

"surprise indy experimental jazz album with no promo despite being linked to what was supposed to be a smash hit blockbuster" excuse lives on!

Monster's keep saying "covers!!! 2 day announcement, not LG7!!!"

-Taylor has literally surprise released Folklore and that album almost hit one million first week sales

-The Gift doesn't even have Beyoncé on the majority of the tracks, and the somgs that she's on are literally filled with other artists, and still peaked at #2

-Madonna's I'm Breathless (which is literally a jazz album AND named after the films character, just like Gaga with Harlequin) spent 13 weeks in the top 10 alone of the Billboard 200. Plus this album was sandwiched between the massive smashes that were Like a Prayer and The Immaculate Collection and still did well.

This is a SOLO Lady Gaga album and still bombed. She herself even called it "LG 6.5" - meaning it is (or was now) an important part of her discography. She didn't call any of the Tony collab albums this.

I swear if Gaga's Harlequin was a collab effort that peaked at #2 you would be claiming it's solely because of that but with Beyoncé the collabs don't matter? :rip:

But you're right. I would be way more excited to hear original jazz songs but the truth of the matter is Harlequin is composed of mostly covers and if Taylor and Beyoncé released an album with covers it wouldn't do as well as their original music.

no one wants jazz music from her. NO ONE. we are neither buying nor streaming. idk why haters try to make it into something bigger. a fanbase is giving a clear veto on that career path, when the music is pop, like die with a smile, people tune in.

Eh you can call this flop a flop without all the extra to jazz it up. The gift is really the only comparable example here (soundtrack adjacent side projects). Gaga should've done more based on her name alone.

you know this isn't a real Gaga album or The follow up to chromatica tho :deadbanana2:

Speaking as a gaga stan, yes this is embarrassing, yes I am suffering, and yes the lashings are absolutely warranted :rip:

Feel free to go in, at least then some enjoyment will have come out of this project for someone :clownny:

Sis this is a bomb no matter what :rip: It's not even making the top 15. Also that's not true, I think A Star Is Born was mainly a smash because of Gaga not Bradley, for example.
