Especially with the former's vocals Where was it marketed as a jazz album? You guys keep using this excuse as if that was made obvious from the announcement. It was never promoted as a "Jazz album" but just as a companion album meant to be released alongside Joker. I just glanced at the album thread and all the monsters were hyping the **** out of it and no one was saying "ew a jazz side project!" This excuse is hilariously stupid If it went 100k -> 25k -> 5k you could argue its longevity was based on the fact that's it's a jazz album full of covers but to act like the GP knew that information is so blatantly disingenuous and obviously coping. Gaga just does not draw the attention to smash with a surprise album. Edited October 1 by Gaia 9 14 1 1
Bey_Rihstan Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Not this being the same amount as Brandy's indie album B7 10
John Slayne Posted October 1 Posted October 1 26k is bad even for a surprise jazz album, but then again L4S barely made top 10 and it had tony bennett so it makes sense did she not ship any physicals?

I just glanced at the album thread and all the monsters were hyping the **** out of it and no one was saying "ew a jazz side project!" This excuse is hilariously stupid That's because we thought it was an album with original music and rock influences. Once it was announced it was a cover jazz album the hype died down. But apropos marketing, it was made clear it wasn't a regular studio album when it was announced as LG6.5, so many people thought it would be an EP. Regardless of how you spin it (which you are desperately trying to btw), it was marketed as anything but LG7. 1 1
BrattyBottom Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Yiiiiiikes, did about 1/3rd what I thought it would do. This is truly a collosal flop. I guess it's thank you Tony Bennett as well. Maybe she will sit on LG7 for a little while longer. Back to back flops during award season is not a good look.
UseYourIllusion2002 Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I- this is a bomb no matter how you spin it 3 1

Lightbringer007 Posted October 1 Posted October 1 hope chappell gets that #1 soon cause the album is so good

OrgVisual Posted October 1 Posted October 1 The "jazz album" excuse doesn't even live up anymore since it's doing so much worse than C2C and LFS 12
DiamondHoe Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Yeh this is tragic. Liddos saying otherwise need to get w the programme. At least we have DWAS as the biggest song in the world rn
Stunnah Posted October 1 Posted October 1 (edited) Please pour one out for the ma ma pa pa pa chantuse (2009-2013 and then again from 2018-2024) Edited October 1 by Stunnah 1
Me & My Hits Posted October 1 Posted October 1 A certain LM told that Sabrina's success was due to spotify's payola. What happened with the DWAS singer, then? 3
